My son is adopted from Guatemala. If you had the slightest clue how difficult it was for us to bring an orphan into the US legally you might change your opinion. When we had our embassy interviews we passed lines of people wrapped around the embassy - many who were sick and trying to get a medical visa - who came day after freakin' day waiting for a handful of interviews. These people were doing it legally. The answer is in fixing the system and avoiding illegal immigration. Sending them home is the only responsible thing in my opinion... stiff upper lip... send the message. They can come back when they pay their dues and stand in line. I'm a tax paying citizen and it took me two years to bring my little immigrant home! I watched sick elderly Guatemalan stand in line for hours just to be turned away... sacrificing their piddly incomes for the day to do so. How disrespectful to them to say it's okay for people who sneak in to stay here.

Exactly. Everytime he gets cornered, he pulls out the fighting in Iraq card somehow. How many different ways can he lay this card on the table. This is getting as old as Ghouliani's 9/11 card! Are people so dumb as to believe that the 30 million illegals that are here ALL have a son fighting in the military in Iraq?!!! Come on people, wake up!! (no, I am not taking about the board members, just frustrated with the stupid Americans in general)

What happened to the "law" is the law. Yes sneak across the border, break our laws and we will let you join the military, and become a citizen. Then you all your family that also broke the law to get into this country can also become a citizen.
Seems to me that's a by product of Americans not supporting your war. That's why congress has to declare a war, you have to make sure that "We the People" are behind it. If we aren't you get what you get here.
