MI-Mormon church attacker rams into church with car, opens fire. One dead, many injured.

Many may be dead from fire and smoke inhalation.

The fire has been extinguished, and police believe they will find other victims in the area where the fire was most concentrated. Police made clear they fear that people were trapped by the flames and unable to exit the church.

The man who allegedly opened fire Sunday morning in a Grand Blanc Township church then set it ablaze has been identified as a 40-year-old U.S. Marine veteran who served in the Iraq War.

Yep. Military veterans make up 20% of mass shooters while being only 6% of the population. And it makes perfect sense. They are more likely to have the training to be able to carry one out and the trauma that to go with it.

I was at the VA emergency room the other day waiting on my dad (he's okay) and there was a woman that I'm sure had PTSD. She kept moving to different seats The light concerned her. The open door concerned her. Other people walking by that she thought was looking at her concerned her. She was also observant. She guessed I was an attorney just by me wearing a suit, having a laptop and bag. (I had come from church and I wasn't working on law stuff). Lucky guess? Maybe. She at one point asked me if I thought she was crazy. I told her "You're just very observant." I don't think she was at risk of being violent. But she clearly needed help. Hopefully she got it.

I know some ex-Mormons.

I can see this.

Check marks suddenly concerned about zero-evidence claims as to the identity of a mass shooter.

What could it possibly have been that made them feel this way about this shooting in particular?

Whoever National Conservative is, he makes it a point to check and verify what he posts.

He also consistently denounces regurgitating rage/slop posters.

That's why I use his data.

And in this case, he'll probably turn out to be correct. So far, there seems to be no political or religious motivation to this attack at all. If the attacker had a large online presence making his grievances known to the world, it would already have been found and amplified to the high heavens, left or right. Other than a personal grudge, maybe one of the Mormon elders stole his wife away or cheated him in a business deal, something like that, it appears to be just a random act of violence and evil.

Like that veteran in Maine not too long ago, that shot all those people in a bowling alley for no particular reason.

About the only political points that can be driven home here, like the New Orleans attack on New Year's Day, is that you do not necessarily need a gun to kill or terrorize and good guys with guns stop bad guys with guns.

Well, that and beware of mad, motivated Marines.
