Merry Christmas Everybody

Merry Christmas. Lots of hurting and broken hearts due to recent losses in my near group of people this year. My prayers are for all those who are hurting this Christmas to somehow find joy and peace.

From husbands taken too soon from cancer to little 4 year old Remy Whiteway who’s precious life was taken from his parents and siblings, to families devastated by other losses and sickness. All of you are heavy on my heart this year.

Merry Christmas everyone. I've been blessed these last few years and should be down on my knees right now in giving thanks. I hope all of you have a great Christmas.

Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, non-addictive, gender neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasions and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all…and a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling, and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2018, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great (not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country or is the only ”America” in the Western hemisphere), and without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith, or sexual orientation of the wishee.

This wish is limited to the customary and usual good tidings for a period of one year, or until the issuance of a subsequent holiday greeting, whichever comes first. ”Holiday” is not intended to, nor shall it be considered, limited to the usual Judeo-Christian celebrations or observances, or to such activities of any organized or ad hoc religious community, group, individual or belief (or lack thereof).

Note: By accepting this greeting, you are accepting these terms. This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal, and is revocable at the sole discretion of the wisher at any time, for any reason or for no reason at all. This greeting is freely transferable with no alteration to the original greeting. This greeting implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for the wishee her/himself or others, or responsibility for the consequences which may arise from the implementation or non-implementation of same. This greeting is void where prohibited by law.

Merry Christmas!

What a wonder God is, that He would come down from His heavenly place, humble Himself, and take our form and our human nature, so that by uniting His divine eternal nature with our created human nature, He might raise us up to His heavenly place and restore to us the beauty and eternal life for which He originally created us for!

Holding the universe in His hand, yet He became an infant held in the embrace of the Virgin.
The One Who created the cosmos, He is born in a small town named Bethlehem.
The King Who sits at the Right Hand of the Father, He is born poor in a small cave amongst the stable animals.
The Messiah Who has come to feed the entire world, He is yet a small babe held to His mother’s breast to eat.
The Lord to Whom all bend their knee, He is born in the outskirts of the city as there was no room left in the inn.
The Healer Who heals all disease of the body and soul, He is warmed by the fire and wrapped in swaddling clothes.
The Sheep Who offers Himself for the life of the world, He is honored and worshipped by the poor shepherds in the still of the night.
The Savior Who destroyed death and the power of sin through His sinless death and glorious resurrection, He has put upon Himself our created and perishable nature so that by His coming into the world and overcoming of the world, in perfect love and obedience to the Father in Heaven, we too may rise with Him into the eternal Kingdom of everlasting peace which was prepared for those who love Him before the foundation of the world was ever made.

Such is the God of the universe! The God of Love! And this is the wonder of Christmas, that He loves us so much that He gave His Only-begotten Son for us, so that through Him we may share in the love of God which is eternal. Though we sin and are full of sin, even still He comes to us and knocks at the door of our hearts and waits for us, so that by our repentance and turning back to Him, He runs out to embrace us and forgive us and welcome us back to our loving home just as the father of the prodigal son did.

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”

CHRIST IS BORN!
GLORIFY HIM!
