Mensa Members

I saw an article a long time ago that said the only guy affiliated with mensa who is a genius is the guy who started it. His genius was "Send me $20 membership fee and I'll send you a 50 cent certificate proclaiming you a genius." Probably not true but amusing nonetheless.

Well I guess it makes sense that actually accepting a membership to Mensa makes you a little self-absorbed.. I guess one can still be self-absorbed and NOT be a part of Mensa.

Any Mensa members? or know enough we can get together to start a Mensa supports Ron Paul.. it's the start thing to do... :)

Mensa is a tiny organization. Its also very unpopular.

Most of the 98% of Americans that aren't qualified for membership think Mensans are arrogant intellectual snobs.

Mensa is even unpopular among those that are eligible for membership. Mensa has ~50k members in the USA, out of roughly 6,000,000 of us that are eligible. Over 99% of those eligible for Mensa choose to reject it. Yes, that means that 99+% of the smart folks think Mensa membership is a bad idea...

Given its unpopularity, I'm not sure that openly associating Mensa with Ron Paul is going to be helpful. To be sure, "Mensans for Ron Paul" isn't going to harm the campaign as much as "NAMBLANS for Ron Paul" or "wife beaters for Ron Paul," but I still don't think its a great idea.

So, if you are a Mensan (or Namblan, or wife beater) who chooses to support Ron Paul, we can use your help, but I don't think its wise to associate membership with these unpopular groups with the campaign.

I can add, from my experience: many are also aspergers (spectrum), horny and freaking RUDE! Especially when you're a reasonably attractive under-21 member (which I no longer can claim).

I don't think that only applies to their membership. :D More so applies to the male gender in general when dealing with online forums...anyway, enough about them...

so, what are you wearing? ;)
