Ted Beale AKA Vox Day a.k.a. Vox Populi is a Mensa member. I was invited to join, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

I'm a former member (100108245), but I still have access to the local yahoo group. I post RP stuff there on occasion. Ron has quite a number of supporters in that organization, as is easy to imagine. Mensa does have gatekeepers, however, that don't like Ron and his message (they don't like certain other messages either, and work hard to keep them from being discussed - sound familiar?). It's one of the reasons I let my membership lapse.

I could of if I wanted to (10010100), but I didn't really like the person testing me. Kinda mean.

It's a group for the socially inept so as to insulate themselves in their own little world of intellectual snobbery.

Besides I have a girlfriend...I just wouldn't fit in.

You mean like the internet? I'm a former member. Would consider re-upping if you had something worthwhile in mind...luckily I wouldn't have to test again. :)

You should all know better than to generalize about anything. I have several generations in my family. Both my parents were members so I grew up around many M's and just as in any group, there are good, bad, introverts, extroverts, you name it. Most of the people I know are not full of themselves. In fact, they rarely reveal their membership to others. I remember my dad joined because he loved chess and could never find someone that could challenge him. They're just regular people so please stop all the hating on Mensans.

I am.

The group won't make any official endorsements but unofficially we could contact individuals.

Honestly I figured most of them already support Dr. Paul.

I was a member when I was like 12. I read the newsletters that were sent out or whatever, and it seemed like a huge bitchfest between the columnists and the readers, so it didn't interest me at all and I told my mom not to renew my membership. Of course I realize now it's not all like that, but I haven't had any obvious reason to rejoin since.
