This video reminds me of what Megyn Kelly did. When the Epstein story first broke, physicist Lawrence Krauss publicly defended Epstein by suggesting that he didn't think the allegations against him were true because the women that he saw Epstein with were young (19-23) but still legal and that if he did have sex with minors, they "knew what they were doing" and they "looked older" and Epstein didn't check their drivers licenses. This podcaster contacted him privately, then she posted his emails publicly (she asked him for permission first) and then she was criticized for criticizing Krauss. In this case Megyn Kelly was clearly putting a "it's not as bad as it seems" spin on what happened. Nobody claimed the girls were 8. But 14 is a LONG way away from 18. It's a grown man having sex with a 9th grader. And it might be as young as 13. The document I posted talked about a 14 year old but apparently the youngest victim was 13. And I'm sure there are people who make unfair criticisms of her. But that's not the case of people pointing out that what she said in the OP video is cringe. Babylon Bee calling her an antisemite is NOT the same as good and decent people of world pointing out what Megyn admitted herself was a "distinction without a difference" when it came to where to draw the line on pedophilia. Sure an 8 year old is different from a 13 year old. So freaking what? A 3 year old is different from an 8 year old too! Megyn doesn't go as far as Krauss did because 1) the real beneficiary of her defense is Trump, not Epstein and 2) unlike Krauss I don't think she was doing creepy stuff herself. But Megyn and Whoopi's statements are nearly identical.

It's semantics and definitions. We have words for many stages of life. There are infants, babies, toddlers, children, preteens, and teens, with 18-19 currently considered an adult in our society. Each is a distinct phase.

And IMHO, all of this is a distraction from the fact that the Epstein case is about far more than just a man having sex with minors. It is more than a case about a pimp. It is all of that, but much more.

This case is about politics, bribery, blackmail, corruption, criminal cover-ups, and out of control intelligence agencies.

And as it is now, we mostly have one side saying "OMG, he's a pedophile!" and the other side is saying "the pedophile is dead, move on".
