Just imagine...Rand gets attacked on Meet The Press....but tactfully gives back as good as he got......calling the media out for its bias and playing of the race card.....raising the isssue of Senator Byrd's membership in the KKK and his filibuster of Civil Rights Act

attacks the talking heads.......the way he did to George Stephanopulus on Good Morning.

Rand becomes a superstar and all the neo-cons in America...and many independents get behind him. ....

But no......we prefer the silent treatment ....

and MTP gets to trash him and then say "Mr. Paul was invited but then changed his mind about appearing."

i cant believe what an opportunity we are blowing here.....

You really want to sit through 15-20 minutes of Rand explaining his view on something that happened 40 years ago?

Lets get Rand into the Senate.

Fuck these race baiting bitches.

If he wasn't up 25 points and they didn't treat him so bad on MSNBC, he would have went on Meet the Press.

I agree, this is a bad move.

Wheter Rand chooses to or not....He WILL be on MTP this Sunday anyway....getting trashed by their "panel of guests"

i am stunned that the campaign would walk away from a chance to preach the gospel to millions of Americans who need truth

The way to handle it is to turn the tables on the media and ask why Senator KKK Byrd is never asked about CRA...

The media liars are EASY to expose..

Haha. They won't give him the opportunity to preach the gospel of libertarian ideals. No way. He is taking the high road, because the whole civil rights debate is nothing more than racism innuendo. To go on there makes him look like a desperate man trying to save his " political career" when he doesn't need to. And, this show is notorious for soundbytes to be played around the clock 24/7.

It's never easy. It's always a risk and shit can always go wrong. No need to get too risky when you're already up.

But it is also risky to cancel MTP. He will be portrayed as a wimp.

He's talked plenty about it. The only people portraying him as a wimp will be the ones that want him to be one.

I think Ron Paul's appearance on MTP helped him in late 2007. If Rand was well prepared, I think he could have handled Sunday. But the "prepared" thing is important, because he obviously hasn't been lately.

WHAT? MTP did not help Paul in 2007. noway.

Earmarks hurt him, because it wasn't something that could be explained in 30 seconds. Before MTP, no conservative ever brought it up. Overall, it was a waste of time and a net loss.
