Here's my route if I were Dr. Paul and asked about cancelling my MTP appearance...

I'm running for the U.S. Senate to bring meaningful reform to the United States of America. I will not participate with a network who wishes to vilify free markets, liberty, the constitution, and use its bully pulpit to create racial tensions.

It's time Americans started to work together rather than against each other by letting petty TV entertainers cause fear and tension between fellow human beings.

While walking into enemy territory solo and giving them the advantage and first blow sounds very heroic, it wouldn't be prudent.
 
I don't know about this one way or another, but appearing on Maddow's show was the mistake. I can't imagine why Paul thought was to be gained by appearing on MS-DNC.

but all those people aren't voting for Paul. Kentuckians are. Perhaps they will convince enough of them that Paul is right, but I fear more people watch CNN/MSNBC etc than listen to them.
or maybe not.

It would be noble to see Rand fall on his sword this Sunday fighting for "the cause", but, in the immortal words of General George S. Patton:

The net effect is definitely negative. Rand himself knows that he should have never appeared on Maddow's show.

a part of me thinks Rachel likes rand so much that she set this up for him.....

I heard many callers on talk radio call in to stick up for Rand. This is great!

i disagree. Most people by now are SICK AND TIRED of the race card.......the only ones that still are affected by this smear are liberals who wouldnt be voting for Rand anyway

No, Rachel Maddow is a far-left partisan liberal hack who hates the Tea Party. She was nice to Rand a year ago, but now she and the Democrat establishment and Jackass are our biggest enemies.
 
The media are just gang piling pack of wolves....and Rand is saying dude this is BS enough!!

They will make him back peddle till Nov if you let them. I like this call.....he needs to break the news cycle on this.....because nothing can be gain from it and only total harm from entrapment can come of it.
Discretion is the better part of valor.

He is not going anywhere......the teaparty is not about the fucking 1960's its all a trap to take him off message and defensive.......its good he pulled the cord on it.

There are moderates and even conservatives who would be uncomfortable supporting someone who questions the Civil Rights Act. I don't know how many of them are in KY, but on a national level, this whole incident has made Rand Paul look like a nut.

He needs to recover his image.
