It's asking a lot, of all you patriots, but TODAY Oct 2nd we have a moneybomb fundraiser for Texan Debra Medina, our movement's Candidate for Governor. Admittedly, a long shot, she's an up and comer and beginning to get some media attention. If you can reach deep and still find $25 in the ol' cookie jar, Debra is one of the most respected and vocal leaders of our grassroots, liberty movement here in the Lone Star State.

Watching the recent donors scroll, there is almost no support coming in from outside Texas. I'd sure like to see a late afternoon bump as people get home from work.

DEBRA MEDINA, wooooohoooooo!

Okay, so I know not everyone is as enthusiastic as I am, but I think they should be. Donate today!

no joke, i don't understand this at all.

I don't doubt that Medina is a worthy candidate... but I'll be honest. I'm damn near tapped out for the moment.

I donated $25 toward Medina's campaign earlier today, and I found myself hesitating at length before I hit the "submit" button. It wasn't that I didn't *want* to donate, it's just that this particular drive/moneybomb/push/whatever is coming at a very bad time.

Just two days ago, there was an enormous push to get Rand Paul over the million dollar mark for the quarter and another enormous push to get Adam Kokesh over the 100K mark for the quarter. This was not counting recent money drives for Peter Schiff, Randy Brogdon, Jaynee Germond, and several other local/state candidates.

Frankly, I can't imagine a worse time for the Medina moneybomb/donation drive.

No offense! I'm not trying to pick on whomever picked the date on this. I'm just saying, the timing was just not optimal.

Perhaps another drive, with more advanced publicity and some essays on why the money donated would be considered a good investment, might be scheduled down the road in a month or so. In the meantime, I hope everyone in and with the Medina campaign doesn't judge the turnout here too harshly. This is a pretty limited base, and frankly, at least at the moment, I imagine most of us are damn near broke after supporting all the other previous drives.
:(

This was scheduled before several of those. Whether it was bad timing for her supporters or bad time for the others to pick, the fact they happened first certainly isn't helping.

I think I pretty much recognized in my opening post that many would be tapped out for this effort - due to the herculean efforts of the recent past. I was addressing those who could reach deep into their pockets and still find a few dollars more to help out a worthy candidate. For those who are tapped out for this effort, I have no doubt that you'll be there for future efforts.

So having expressed this, for who can - come on, let's do it.
