Medina at 24% in PPP Poll!!!

It's amazing how much her support jumped in her short TV exposure during the debates. It shows how much better her message is.

Woohoo! Great poll results!

Say the run off is between Perry and Medina, will the KBH element come to our side or back Perry? I ask because KBH people are the same establishment republicans are they not?

The "anyone but Perry" faction is already coming over. The "we like bailouts" faction won't probably, but they're not exactly large.

I doubt we would have to worry about those people, especially in a primary.

We can start getting democrats to vote in our primary.

We official can use the "wasted vote" concept with democrats.

DO IT!!!

Hutchison supporters are pro-choice and anti-Perry. They'll stay home or vote for Debra.

Medina will get so much attention if there is a run-off that she'll likely win.

this is amazing.... this poll only covers likely voters or those that have voted in gov primaries right?

I wonder how many new people are going to be voting come march 2nd.

Does anyone know if it's conventional in Texas to have a second round of debates between the first election and the run-off?

If Medina could face off with Rick Perry in a couple more debates before the run-off, I think her victory would be sealed.

Regardless, she needs to publicly demand another debate and then widely publicize
his refusal to do so if he won't.

She is sharp enough that I've no doubt she will.

There's probably a snippy little soundbite to be developed about him being afraid to.

I think there are plenty of "unlikely" voters that will be supporting Medina in their first primary election ever. Get out the vote! We can do this!

OK, this may be a stupid question, but does the run-off include the top two republicans in the repub. primary? So, all Debra has to do is make the top two?

Thanks.

edit: n/m, answered already.

As an aside, for any Democrat friends that think Bill White has any chance against a Republican in Texas, there's simply no interest. Check this out -

http://www.pegasusnews.com/news/2010/feb/09/house-finds-homes-cbs-takes-over-dallas-fort-worth/

"Meanwhile, the one-and-only televised debate between Democratic gubernatorial candidates Bill White and Farouk Shami went little-seen at 7 p.m. on two participating stations -- TXA21 (20,359 viewers) and KERA13 (6,786 viewers). But among 18-to-49-year-olds, the debate had "hashmarks" (no measurable audience) on TXA21 and a barely registering 652 viewers on KERA13."

Has Debra's campaign started running radio/TV ads yet?

Where is avaroth these days?

I have heard one of her ads on the radio. At a pretty good time, around 5:15 during Dave Ramsey. Have heard Perry and Hutchinson ads on the radio non stop. Seen non on TV but I don't watch a lot.

Debra's campaign was actually the first to launch TV ads. I'm sure the campaign is locating the most strategic spots for airing ads as our current funds allow. Please consider donating (or convincing friends/family to donate) to the campaign so more can be done -- every little bit helps!

These next 3 weeks will be really exciting. The county coordinators all around Texas have been working tirelessly to ensure maximum effectiveness. There is sign waving, block walking, and phone banking planned all around the state. (I know Houston had all three in 8 different locations last Saturday and just added 3 more locations for this upcoming weekend.)

Please be sure to get in contact with your area coordinators to get involved. Now is the time to step up! Things are looking optimistic, but we must keep up the hard work! A couple hours every weekend until election day could very possibly make the difference!
