McClatchy-MSNBC Poll: Romney Takes Lead in Florida, Paul at 3%

I always thought that florida would be are worst state.Too many old scared people down there.

I can't believe that he's doing as poor as he is down here. I thought he would do better because of the amount of younger people (attending the many colleges & universities). I know we have to take into consideration the older generations and notherners but I thought we could overpower them.
I voted for 'em today and will continue to try and do my part.

The younger people at colleges in FL don't matter a lick if they are from somewhere else and arent registered to vote in FL, as Im sure is the case. The blue hair factor is in action once again...but worse. It's great to have a bunch of young supporters in the state but it doesnt mean a thing if they cant VOTE while the blue hairs can (and will).

Double digits in FL should be considered a success. Heres to the end of the Ghoul, a third or 4th finish will be the end of him. RP defeat of Ghoul in Florida will end his political career forever.

We continue to keep chugging along like the little train that could. We will make a good showing in the west.

Can we stop worrying about rudy? our big opponents are romney and McCain  rudy is done.

I still dont buy the polls

First poll had paul at 6% and now at 3%?
Why the flips?

Maybe the RON PAUL BLIMP had something to do with it?

Shouldn't we be going up?

So who gets the young vote or should I say, what's the Strategies to get the 40 and below crowd?

I think we're all in the wrong party. The rest of the youth vote seems to be in the Democratic Party ... and going to Barack Obama.

The Democrats are socialists, and beyond repair. They were once the party of the Jeffersonians, up until the 1910's, but they won't ever be again unless if we massively increased their numbers (probably 2x to have a lock on the party).

beautimous. As long as McCain doesn't pull it in Florida the balance still exists. Of course, RP will have to win SOMEWHERE to get nominated, even in a brokered convention.

oh no. i REALLY DON'T want rudy to drop out yet. We are honestly going to win zero of his voters.

I want Rudy to lose FL, but don't want him to drop out until after Super Tuesday. I definitely don't want Romney getting it, either - he's got a respectable lead in delegates, and this would widen the gap.

I just hope Romney doesn't win...based on the Romney-McCain lovefest at last night's debate, it seems like the establishment candidates may be already gearing up to "make deals" and rally around Romney (probably with McCain as VP and Rudy somewhere in the cabinet...). The last thing we need is a clear frontrunner before Super Tuesday.

You are half right. I grew up and went to college in FL. I assure you. The majority of students go to school in state. It's too expensive to go to school out of state. However, the issue is where are they registered to vote. Generally it will be "back home".
