The McCain apologists are saying that since he's talking about "maintaining a presence" in Iraq, not continued warfare, they are also "fine with that."

The neocons have no problem with maintaining bases in Iraq forever. That's the plan, actually. McCain just made the mistake of admitting it openly.

Will NH GOP primary voters also be "fine with that"? We'll see. I'm hoping there are some who have some sanity left, but I'm not getting my hopes up.
