I am definitely not encouraging you to raise your expectations. I doubt that the discharge petition will get the required votes. And even if it does, I won't be surprised to see some loophole prevent it from actually getting to the floor. And even if it does get to the floor, I don't expect it to pass. And even if it does pass the House, I don't know what would happen next--I assume a vote in the Senate, where it would fail. And then would this not require the President's signature after that anyway? Which it won't get.It is possible my opinions are clouded by my low expectations in general of legislators in mass
