Man Says Depictions Of Jesus In Met Artworks Are Racist, Sues To Have Them Taken Down

All such blasphemous pretend images of "Jesus" should be torn down wherever found.

I hope the guy running the lawsuit wins. Not because the suit itself makes any sense (it does not.) But because imaging Christ for any reason is wicked and those who do it are under God's judgment.

At least you're honest.

But implementing a theocracy of any kind is antithetical to liberty, whether it be salafist, theonomist or any other implementation of a state religion.

I have actually been to the met, and they have a whole wing of their huge building dedicated to African art, and I have actually seen a painting in there of black Jesus, so I don't know what this guy is complaining about.

If you think their depictions of Jesus are bad, you should look at their depictions of Madonna. They look nothing like her.

A friend was mentioning that he noticed that depictions of Jesus (particularly on the cross) are more violent and bloody depending on the economy of the country. Most of what we see as depictions of Jesus were done in white and prosperous Europe.

I don't.

In fact I hope he incurs court costs and attorney's fees for the other side.

There's nothing stopping him from painting pictures of any color Jesus that he wants to.

And.......................I'm one of "those" Christians who disagrees with your opinion on paintings and statuary depicting Jesus or Mary or even Saints.

Not only do I think your views are wrong I think they alienate lots of people who might have accepted Christ were it not for persecution and bickering.
