Majority of Trump Voters Now in Favor of Seceding from the Union

So....we're just going to ignore all of the data showing COVID surges in countries with 80% vaccination rates. And...we're going to ignore the unpopularity of the vaccine mandates themselves.

Killing 7 kids is a "misstep". This guy can fuck himself.

Maybe this process is all wrong. Maybe individuals should secede to a new government that they elected which no longer binds them to the government that they refute. No different than freedom of religion. Maybe religion needs to be my form of government and I am free to practice as I see fit and denounce what I interpret as illegitimate government. Why do it by territory? Would that not be playing by their rules? Are we not unique individuals?

I seceded a long time ago. The nation of TheTexan has been in a cold war with the surrounding nations for many years now.

Checkmate, secessionists!

Gasp! More than one air traffic control system?? This obviously explains why no planes ever come to the US from Canada, of course.

Also, the headwaters of the Mississippi are in Minnesota, a purple state I believe. The headwaters of the Missouri are in Montana. The headwaters of the Potomac are in West Virginia. The headwaters of the Colorado are in western Colorado and while Colorado has become somewhat reliably blue nationally, that is only because of Denver and Colorado Springs, I believe. The headwaters of the Susquehanna are in NE PA, and PA is basically a purple state (because of Pittsburgh and Philadelphia).

These people don't know shit about shit.

The authoritarian dictatorship(s) is happening and there's not really any good way of stopping it. That ship has already sailed.

The only question is can we minimize its geographic scope.

Goddamn right. "We hate you! But don't you dare leave the country! You'll create the same kind of horrible government we're trying to force you to live under!"

Secession will only bear fruit if there is a recognition of why and how the Union and the Constitution failed.

A simple reversion to the Articles of Confederation would be a good starting point that would hold muster from which the conversation can begin. Big issues need to be considered. If too much is kept the same, the same problems will eventually occur again. Arthur Fenner is spinning in his grave. He was right, all along.

Read another comment from some loudmouthed Marxist imbecile to the effect that, "well those stupid rednecks won't have any ports either".

Hmmm...let's assume "The South" included states of the old confederacy.

These are deepwater ports only, from memory, and I may have missed a couple, most all of these I have transited:

Texas: Brownsville - Port Lavaca - Corpus Christi - Freeport - Galveston,Texas City, Houston - Sabine

Louisiana: Lake Charles - Port Fourchon - New Orleans

Mississippi: Pascagoula - Gulfport

Alabama: Mobile

Florida: Pensacola - Tampa - Key West - Miami - Fort Lauderdale - Port of Palm Beach - Cape Canaveral - Jacksonville

Georgia: Savannah

South Carolina: Charleston

North Carolina: Wilmington - Morehead City

Virginia: Norfolk - Richmond - Portsmouth

It's soon time to be heading to Texas.

Translation: Without you who'll pay for our local commuter trains with federal dollars and feed us and stuff?"

Stop with this talk of secession and actually do it. People always talk the talk but will never walk the walk.

Indeed. No massive societal change ever happened because it was the "smart" thing to do.

Such changes are driven almost entirely by emotion.
