Mainstream Republican candidate killer question for Politico debate. Comment here

Can you narrow or focus down the question? They will simply spin around or give a very generic answer like "when petreas says so!"

why not something like: "The cost of the war is now exceeding $1 trillion, how much additional money do you predict we will spend over seas under your administration and how will this effect the US economy?"

Their answer for that is gonna be "However much it takes, we cannot afford to surrender to Al Qaeda no matter how costly the fight" and the warmongers will eat it up.

Spread the base. Spread the word. I converted a few in the cab today.

Never say never

If we vote this up like hell, theres a good chance they will use it.

If theres a generic reply by all the candidates like some of you suggest RP will slaughter them when he answers the question. If he gets asked it first (which is very unlikely given everyone knows he is against the war), he can give his answer and then he can set the trap by saying that I encourage my fellow republicans to answer the question with specifics.

Look, nothing is guaranteed in life (except death since RP will eliminate taxes :)
Put your skepticism aside and do this for RP. This whole movement is about doing the impossible and without help from each and everyone one of us - this will not get voted high enough.

Please help vote it up. Please.

RP WILL win the economic debate around the war

before he will win over war mongers. This is the only way to get the war mongers to think twice - by making them understand the financial cost to them.

Its easy to say America has a moral responsibility as the worlds only super power but at what cost to ones pocket book.

I think Pauls genius is to connect these. he said it at the debate. Help he spread this message.

Smart idea.

Though I'd highly emphasize to rephrase the question to reflect cost per individual citizen.

What was that $11000 + ??? please correct me.

Actually the question should be put in such a way that they first have to admit how much it has already cost per citizen, then say how much more they think every citizen needs to invest in Halliburton.

wsup with the NASA and space questions under the "most popular" section. I am guessing NASA folks are sitting on their computer and voting like crazy.

I don't like the wording of this particular question. For a vast majority of people, securing America against terrorism is worth any economic woe or hardship. The problem is that we're going about it all wrong and causing unnecessary economic hardship, while prolonging and encouraging further conflict.

This is not about whether one believes in the war or not

this is purely about exposing the fact that we CANNOT afford the war on terror.

If you disagree, answer the question like you were a candidate.

A lot of people have read the post

but there a not a lot of bumps. I only hope you have taken a minute to vote on politico

Please bump if you can.

You'd have a better chance with getting them to air, "So, like how long do you think it will be before Britney Spears is deemed cured?"

We cannot make them use the question

but we CAN vote it up to the top.

Lets do that for RP and see what happens.

Please - this is about uniting under a cause - not doubting our power as a grassroots org.

Please help vote it up. For Ron.

We should have a simple, direct question to remind people of EACH candidate's weakness.

Something along the lines of:

1. Gov Romney, why should the voters trust you, when you flip flopped on _________ issue?

2. Sen McCain, why should people trust you not to embarrass America when you make comments like "bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb Iran" and unrealistic ones like "we should stay in Iraq for 100 years"?

3. Mayor Giuliani, how can you bring the Conservative Coalition together when you are being rejected by Social Conservatives?

4. Gov Huckabee, how can the voters trust you when you have flip flopped on the immigration issue?

Huck's and Mitt's could be a little more specific.

these are good questions

but - every one of them has an easy answer for a politician. The war + economy one does not except for RP

Also, its hard enough voting up 1 question, let alone 5

You dont have to agree with the question being the best - but you can still help RP by voting it up. Please.

With all due respect

You'd have a better chance with getting them to air, "So, like how long do you think it will be before Britney Spears is deemed cured?"

YOU ARE THE LEADERS and ambassadors, act like it.

lead - dont doubt.

69. Question on: Economy
Can you explain exactly what your definition of winning the war on terror (not limited to Iraq) is, when you think we will 'win', what you think it will cost to 'win', and whether you feel the cost today and in the future is and will continue to be major drain on the economy? Moderator - please note this is solely intended to be a question about the candidates views on the impact of the war on terror on our economy (and is not meant to be a foreign policy or Iraq question).

It will keep moving down as more questions are submitted. If you do vote for it, please update this thread with its location to make it easier for people to find.
