Maine Saturday Open Thread

Guys, you all need to calm down. Maine votes by town, not county. The 250 is for ONE town within the county, nit the entire county. That tweet wasvmisleading.

This true?? Cause I was under the impression that 250 was the county est.
- if it is for only one town, which one? Because that is more people voting in one town than the entire county did 4 years ago.

Paul's Maine coordinator tells me he expects 300-400 people at the Washington County caucus.

That was 1 hour ago though.

The Washington County caucus is underway. Pledge, a prayer, recognition of military vets,

cant believe 500 ron paul supporters eligible to vote couldn't show up to this caucus? why?

we have one more caucus after this... i suggest the paul supporters who arent eligible to vote leave now and start getting people in the other caucus.... cuase you can say "hey... we get 30 people together and we flip the state" or whatever.... by them all dinner at this point if they just go!

This movement is not as powerful as I thought apparently - otherwise the news headlines would be about the large amount of youth voters showing up right now. We knew how many votes we needed ahead of time, we had more motivation than anyone else ... and we couldn't do better? wow. Just wow.

Maine was a good thing. Had Ron won he would have gotten less press for it than the debacle of the close count did, and while I would rather he had one to his tally, this has impressed on voters, I hope, as nothing else could, how important turn out is.

who are you lecturing? They moved the event to a time when the two colleges there had gone on break. Yeah, it would be nice if they gave up their plane tickets and vacations and stayed.
