Louisiana results?

I'm reporting in from District 6, Baton Rouge area. I had to finally leave because I had to get back to my daughter, but when I left they were still counting. As a matter of fact the people who were being paid to count were only paid up until 9pm and they wanted to go home. So since there were so many of us Ron Paul supporters hanging around (all the other guys went home :) ) they asked us to help out.

Yes, believe it or not our Ron Paul people are finishing up the counting, supervised of course, but still it helps us know that there won't be any funny business.

We had a great turnout, but I don't know what the official results are yet. The guys have promised to post as soon as we know something official.

Sounds Great! Thanks! :D

Christ! I can't stay up any longer and I have court tomorrow. Good luck, Louisiania! I hope there's good news for Ron Paul in the morning.

Can someone please explain to me why it takes so long to count the ballots? In Nevada it was a matter of hours in spite of the large turnout.

Some more gems from Huck forum:

yeh i don't think we will get 51%, I say lesson learned. And we should be aware of ALL the states processes for caucuses/primaries to not let this happen again. As strange as it is, from looking at RP forum and seeing the support that showed up and their delegates at the LA caucus I think they might take this one.

The entire ignoring of LOuisiana by everyone hurt. Ron Paul folks were in force.
...
Anyway the I think this story will go under the radar but we must get mike Huckaee people out on Feb 9th!!! If it under 50 percent this state will have a lot of delgates go to Ron Paul

Does anyone know if the provisional ballots count towards the total at the end of the night?

This is really exciting news, although I wish it weren't quite so confusing so it would be easier for people to report on (and to build some momentum for Ron Paul...) But regardless, very exciting news. It seems finally the results on the ground are matching the excitement on the web!

I parked next to a van that had Huckabee written on the window. More noticeable were all the RP bumper stickers.

This is great news, it's what we needed to keep the flame growing bigger...

To bad the MSM will not report this....:(

Looking forward to the offical results...

By the time we reach the next state, Judy will drop out. Huck is low on $$$ also, will he drop?

I doubt it. Huckabee has a very specific yet powerful following. For a lot of "Republicans", he's the "only" suitable candidate. Unless he completely runs out of cash, which I don't think will happen in the near future, I think he's in it for the long haul. It's a real shame...
