Louisiana Results Thread

How are we doing so far down there? I'm expecting a similar result like in Alabama and Mississippi.


Polls close at 9PM Eastern.
 
Every single person I know who isn't too disgusted with the GOP to register as a Republican voted for RP. We had thousands of people show up at every RP rally. I've seen hundreds of cars with RP stickers every time I drive around BR.

I've seen no support for any other candidate. I'm sure RP will mysteriously come in 4th despite all this.

Stickers on cars is no guarantee those people will actually show up to vote.

If it's a Ron Paul sticker, the odds are a lot higher that they will. Whether those votes make it into the official tally, I have no idea.
 
Stickers mean little.

Around Tulsa, for example, the only cars that had stickers on them that I saw, were Ron Paul. And I saw quite a few. He ended up getting dead last in Tulsa County...

Please help me find out what "Central Tabulator" software runs Louisiana. I can't find the info on the Sec. of State website. When you do know, please report in this thread:

Hi.
In BR here. Went to vote today. My voting station was pretty slow @ 4:00 pm. Only 4 or 5 people there. Voter rolls with few signatures on each page. Hope the Paulites all turned out. Low turnout is our best chance to get a high placing in this precinct.

Most here are not open to voting for Paul except the youngins. The youngins I talked to this afternoon that would of voted for Paul did not go. I encouraged them to do so but who knows :-(

Actually, it is just the opposite. The people supporting Ron Paul, be it at ralles, sign wavings, or with bumper stickers are the ones NOT bothering to show up. Becuase it is a lot easier to slap a bumper sticker on a car, or to join some friends at a party atmosphere rally than it is to go vote.

Tht is why when you see a rally with 1500 Ron Paul supporters and a small intimate Q&A with 300 Romney supporters, Romney is likely to get more votes from his group than Ron Paul will get from his.

To be honest, I think people made too big a deal about it too. First of all...HE didn't even say it.

It's easier to spend all day at a rally than it is to spend 5 minutes at polling station? Why on earth would you think this?

100% of the people that I know who went to the Ron Paul rallies here with me and were legally able (some were from out of state or have since moved) went and voted. Some of them refused to register as Republicans...that's their right. But it wasn't because they were being lazy, that's asinine.

I'm far more suspect of the nation-wide shenanigans I've seen interviews and video of (and witnessed firsthand at the 2008 caucus) if our numbers don't add up. Our district had the majority (not just plurality) of the votes by far. We had the only full slate of delegates at the party deadline. The only reason the outright victory was stolen from us at that time was due to multiple violations of the party rules and not counting legally registered voters' ballots.

Romney has said plenty of flip-flop things, including flipping his position within the space of one debate.
I can't off the top of my head name a single Indy voter who's even considering Romney (I'm sure there's bound to be someone somewhere but still :p) and part of that is that his middle name is "Political Opportunist" or 'flip-flop' for short.
I don't think too great a deal can be made of his inconsistency, it's just about his only consistent trait
