Interesting quote a few slides away from this one:

NYT slide-show said:
Some supporters have helped turn the outspoken congressman's campaign into a colorful, loud sideshow with their guerrilla marketing tactics -- self-penned Ron Paul anthems on YouTube, a Ron Paul blimp and T-shirts that portray Mr. Paul as a world-historical icon like Che Guevara.

Ron Paul likened to a Marxist??

Another quote that is like "Huh?"
A popular campaign T-shirt has Mr. Paul sitting with the founding fathers, which is not to say they would have been aboard for some of Mr. Paul's libertarian ideas.

Oh man, the media is ruthless.

Im just reading through the captions and look at the spin they put on almost nearly every single one!!!

At a campaign rally in Louisville, Ky., on May 17, 1,200 or so supporters greeted their candidate like a rock star when he walked on stage at the ornate Louisville Palace Theater. He wore a crisp dress shirt the color of mint ice cream and a color-coordinated tie, which made him look like an insurance claims adjustor.

People in the crowd, many under 30, if not 25, rose to their feet and thundered in applause, even if they looked as if they had stumbled into a Republican rally on their way to the Coachella rock festival.

I didnt feel like doing the rest, but god dam... they cant say anything nice without pissing on us a second later.

Havent read the article yet, but im not expecting much.

Still happy to have the major coverage, hopefully nyt readers can read between the lines.

The New York Times would NEVER do an honest or positive article on Ron Paul, it is owned by News Corporation which belongs to Rupert Murdoch, one of the neoconservatives Ron Paul denounced.

I read it and the author just tries to marginalize him and his supporters. It's disgusting.

At least they mentioned the blimp and other memorable moments of the campaign.

They make it sound like we're a bunch of stoners trying to build a New Age hippie dome out in the desert.

NYT is run by elitist pricks just like faux is. I bet they cant stand the thought of ex lliberals voting for a republican.

Yeah. How about the fact that we're considering "Yippie-like" disruptions of the Convention?

Of course, I'm just pissed because the guy interviewed me about my videos and it never made the piece.

Sour grapes.

New York Times: "Dazzled" by Ron Paul?

Sunday's edition of the New York Times contains an interesting article about the Ron Paul Revolution - in the Fashion/Style section!

Entitled "Dazzled by the Other Republican" and "It's Not a Campaign, It's a Mission", the article describes Dr. Paul as a "slender, stooped, slightly sad" "lead guitarist", who, despite dressing like an "insurance claims adjustor", has united "disillusioned" and "yippie-ish" "peaceniks" from a wide variety of fringe backgrounds into a movement of "dazzled" flower children who "talk about their beliefs in spiritual terms".

The Ron Paul Revolution is painted as a movement for "yoga instructors", "college dropouts", "musicians/cooks/whatever", and people like "Mr. Linzy, 30, [who] keeps nearly half his savings in silver bullion, and scours antiques fairs and rummage sales for objects containing silver" as well as "Mr. Rayome, whose unkempt ash curls cascaded from a knit Rasta cap, [and who] wore an enameled American flag pin on his faded maroon T-shirt."

Instead of talking about Ron Paul's real solutions to the real problems we face today - including but not limited to skyrocketing inflation, endless wars based upon lies, unbridled illegal immigration, constant attacks on our civil liberties - the same newspaper that successfully lied us into the Iraq war now relegates the only Presidential candidate who would get us out of this mess to the Fashion/Style section and tries to subtly paint him as completely unelectable in the eyes of mainstream individuals.

What else is new?

And we yet still fight.

We are still here.

We are moving forward.

They don't understand, they can't... so they mock.

It's OK, we are underestimated as well as unrespected.

We will survive, and so will the message of Freedom.

People are starting to wonder why they still see us...

Soon they will wonder why they didn't join us.

"Keep the faith and a smile on your face"

Love all these Positive Patriots for Paul!!
