there are only 300 people there. most people were thinking it would take 720 to make the quorum--half of the people that convened the original meeting.

There was no recess and the new quorum is established due to new credentials report. That's how I understand it.

this is moving ahead based on rules violations from convention before it was disbanded improperly ....

I did a little searching on it, and it looks like they need 675 delegates that were at the first convention date to make quorum. There were ~600 Ron Paul supporters that were delegates, so they need ~75 non-Ron Paul supporters to be at this convention to make quorum. Hopefully they did it. If not, they may have had some alternative plan to move forward with that uses the obvious rule breaking at the first convention date to their advantage.
