Religion is so dangerous, but I guess so is the need to dominate a region for resources. It's going to be a tough future in the next several decades with over consumption and population problems. I doubt anyone will make it to Taurus Littrow by 2072. How sad.

Even most Reformed Christians I know are relatively statist, albeit not as much so as the dispensationalists (When a Christian is both Reformed and Dispensationalist, I'm not sure their Reformed theology helps at all, at least in relation to statism. My biggest problem with John Macarthur, much as I like some of what he says, is that he's too strong an advocate for statism.)

Do you have any explanation as to why this is? Is my sample size simply small, or is this the reality of the situation?

As a Muslim, I have to clarify the fact that Islam does not condone this type of savagery. The people that kill children will be held accountable on the Day of Judgement. These people are the modern day Khawarij…the first deviant sect of Islam, the sect that the Prophet Muhammad ordered Muslims to fight against whenever they appear throughout history. They disregard all rules laid down by God pertaining to warfare and are guided by satan to extremism.

I also want to make it clear that the majority of rebels in Syria are not of this group and are not killing women and children or down with AQ. The facts don’t support the claim that most of the rebels are AQ, yet I hear it constantly parroted on this board like it’s a fact. I don’t support Obama’s sickening plans to bomb Syria, but I also don’t support making up facts as I go along.
