"The Mission Begins" and "Requiem for a Soldier" from the Band of Brothers soundtrack is the most epic music I know of. The first one has a very long buildup however, and truly begins at 2:30. I think the buildup is worth it.

richard youngs "advent". it's a minimalist piano piece. the first part is ten minutes of the same 2 piano notes with some vocals over it. the 2nd part is the same two notes again but with oboe over it. the 3rd part is I think two slightly different notes and w/ guitar noise over it. it's like half an hour long and truly an epic
