Dixie Chicks is a good idea, and that got me to thinking...

Who do we know that might - MIGHT - be willing to stick their neck out and "come out" for Ron Paul?

Goldie Hawn's hubby...I forget his name...he's a libertarian I think...

Sheesh I'm no good at this because I watch so little regular television...lol

Anyone know HOW to get in touch with these people? Have any "connected types" in our midst?

We totally need a South Park spoof of Ron Paul. The creators are known Libertarians, too. I bet they'd do it.

Pat is already out there.

Lew is fantastic. I don't know how many of you have ever heard the man speak - he is AMAZING and if you ever have the opportunity, let me encourage you to go! You will be so glad you did! (now back to our regularly scheduled programming. :o )

They are libertarian (not self-proclaimed) but I believe they are pro-war as well, and they don't share the same passion for opposing the fed and supporting the gold standard, not any that I am aware of anyway.

Besides, whoever is on South Park is ridiculed, they go after golden cows, politicians and celebrities, not paint them in a good light.

I would rather have Rudy on there.

If we can't take some comedic criticism, we're not much fun. Besides, Ron Paul vs. Rudy Giuliani in some sort of knock-down-drag-out cartoon battle would be awesome to watch. Plus IT GETS THE NAME ON PEOPLES' MINDS, which is the absolute biggest thing. Being lampooned usually does lots of getting a name out there, since people actually *want* to watch things that are funny, and taking it like a gentleman and not being a sniveling bitch about it is another chance to earn cool points.

Oh, and along that line...

didn't Wesley Snipes just have a big time with the IRS, too?

Wow, that would be awesome! A jib-jab style shoot out between Rudy and Ron. Does anybody know flash?

Media: Bill Maher, Tucker Carlson, Lou Dobbs
Politicians: Chuck Hagel, Mark Sanford (not very likely to happen for either of them, but it was posted on Lew Rockwell a few months ago that "Ron is optimistic about an endorsement at some later date" from the South Carolina governor. That would a HUGE development for the campaign, because that is one endorsement that every candidate wants. Even more interesting is that Sanford was asked back in April about a campaign stop that McCain, who he endorsed in 2000, was making and he said that “to be honest, I didn’t know he was here.”)

Matt Stone
Trey Parker
Michael Scheuer
Jon Stewart? Seems pretty liberal, but hates the war and partisan politics.
Steven Colbert, ditto to above.
Milton Friedman (yeah I know he's dead, but an obvious libertarian)
Antonin Scalia (one of 2 originalists on the supreme court)
Colin Powell? (Seems he felt pretty bad about the lies he spoke to get us into Iraq, but his Powell Doctrine seems pretty reasonable, supposedly called neocons "fucking crazies")
Alan Greenspan? (I've always wondered if Dr. Paul really disliked him, or just the shoes he filled)
Nancy Reagan
Arnold Schwarzenegger? (supposedly a big Milton Friedman fan)

I say, if he gets on Jay Leno, he'll not only make a convert out of the host but also be seen by HUGE numbers of people.

How many people here are willing to send a note to NBC/Tonight Show asking for an appearance by Ron Paul? Anyone have a contact address?
