An interesting paragraph.

A report published on silive on Saturday, notes that Defense Secretary Hagel has decided to rescind a decision to defund 24th National Guard Weapons of Mass Destruction-Civil Support Team (WMD-CST). The team is described as “The only U.S. military team assigned to New York City to support first responders in case of a disaster.”

Note I'm not saying that had anything to do with the bombing other than an obvious consequence. Expect much more "homeland security" spending in the forseeable future.

I don't think it's that anyone is surprised. It's that their presence as part of a disaster drill before the bombs went off calls into question whether this was a staged terrorist attack because such a pattern has developed. So often, when there's a terror attack, there seems to be a government agency in the same place at the same time conducting a drill for the same scenario that coincidentally happens. I'm not going to list them all out for you here because there are plenty of other threads covering all of that kind of stuff already and there's no point in re-hashing the implications of it yet again.

I will admit I was one who latched onto the whole "Hey bro where'd your backpack go" thing. But I also started a thread here very similar to this one the moment I found out these black backpack guys were not Craft or Navy Seals and the backpack photos were manipulated (taken out of context) to make them appear guilty when they weren't. (I hadn't seen this thread when I posted mine, same information from different source.) Posted the same information on FB immediately as well to try to set the record straight on this detail.

I think MSM story-believers and conspiracy theorists alike, all of us need to keep an open mind and not deliberately exclude or suppress information or dismiss it offhand just because it doesn't fit the narrative we want to believe. Doing that rarely leads anyone to the truth, whatever it turns out to be.

I would bet that some type of federal security is at the marathon every year. With that said it wouldn't surprise me if they were supposed to bust the patsies and failed to do it. (or something like that)

Where is the part about these guys participating in a drill?

So far, all I've seen is a report of a guy who says he heard an announcement about a drill on the loudspeakers. If they announced it over the loudspeakers, someone has that audio.

There were CST teams from NY and RI deployed to the Marathon as well. They fail to detect the bombs before they went off, but they are geared toward detection of WMDs. Does that mean that the bombs were not WMDs?
