Four months after her resignation as chairman of the United States Libertarian Party, Angela McArdle has been singled out for ostracism by the Libertarian National Committee (LNC) that oversees the party.

“Whereas the Special Investigatory Committee finds that former Chair Angela McArdle violated her fiduciary duty to the Libertarian Party by concealing conflicts of interest and misusing donor funds, be it hereby resolved that the Libertarian National Committee deems Angela McArdle unfit to serve on the Libertarian National Committee, as an affiliate leader or as a candidate representing the Libertarian Party,” read a resolution the LNC approved at its Monday meeting.

The report referenced in the LNC resolution was made public by the LNC at the meeting as well. The report can be read here.

For a short description of some of relevant details from the report, check out here a Tuesday article by Jordan Willow Evans at Independent Political Report.

She is probably better off without them based on their last presidential candidate. They had a few brief moments where they had a chance to grow into a party with a realistic chance, but blew it.

The LP might as well rebuke every chairman they get from this point on forward since they'll most likely turn out to be a complete and utter embarrassment.

What should an organization that has been infiltrated by the CIA look like?

I like the cat. It's doing its own thing, kicking back, in its own space, watching them devour each other. It must be the true libertarian.

Libertarianism has it's own precise philosophy with a given set of rules. It's the non-libertarians who pretend to be, in an attempt to redefine it. The weak-minded/non-principled fall to their demise.

Those of whom you speak could say exactly the same thing, word for word.

Which just makes the meme that much funnier.

Your self-awareness is astounding.

Angela got busted [see OP]. Peter Thiel, Karp, Musk... at least the word is somewhat getting out. If that makes the meme "that much funnier"... to each his/her own, I guess [shrug].

Those two are full of snark, each for his own reasons. Libertarian is simple, and what's more, it works. Coolidge proved it right here a century ago, and Milei is proving it in Argentina right now. In the few areas Coolidge failed to implement it, like Prohibition, the free market turned into a black market and just wound up proving the stuff too

Most of the strife is just what you said, statists trying to redefine it and distract from it because they want power, which they can't have if the people figure out they're better off without the interference. Libertarians aren't wrong to call that out. Other than that, most of the arguments boil down to people wishing they were seeing signs of it in statist politicians, who are trying to get elected by posing as conservative. That and haters just determined to troll us.

Any poser trying to pass himself off as something he's not "...could say exactly the same thing, word for word." That's how such counterfeiters work. And there's room for interpretation in just how far it should go, what shouldn't be done by government, what can be done if it's done locally, what evils really are necessary. But Trump, just to name an example, is not something good downtrodden by some overwhelming desire for perfection. He's the asshole winking at the kickoff of WWIII.

And I suppose his current and former supporters have reason to dread hearing that somebody told them so. But the fact remains that either liberty is the way of the future or the human race doesn't have a future. So keep preaching, PAF, and let the grumblers grumble.
