Just the Facts
- 98% of contributions from individuals
- 92% of contributions from Kentucky
I guess senators and their minions count as individuals? I would expect a lot less to come from Kentucky if he raised a lot at the bailout banquet.

- 92% of contributions from Kentucky
Sounds like some serious mincing of words. 92% of the number of contributions or the value of contributions?
Remind me why it's a good idea to give up over a half-month of promotion for a money bomb that's likely not going to do anything significant? Well, other than prove that divided money bombs aren't a good idea.
half of the people who have donated to Rand cant even vote for him while almost the majority of Trey's can.
Just being devil's advocate—
The advantage of the multi-bomb is that the press release reads better. Instead of saying Rand raised, say, $200K in yet another money bomb, ho hum, been there, done that, it can say Rand Paul raised $200K as part of the largest, multi-candidate money bomb in history, which raised over $1 million for liberty candidates across the country. Now that's news that will get reported.

Oh, wouldn't it be great if the media wasn't biased against liberty, and the American voter was awake and actively seeking out information to be sure to make the best possible decision at the ballot box. In that case money wouldn't change the outcome.
The sad fact is that money translates into votes. A hundred-dollar donation from out-of-state is worth more than one vote.
I expect the multi-candidate so-called bomb will be a total flop. Hopefully, after that happens, people will stop suggesting it. But the kids who like that idea are going to keep putting it out there until we throw them a bone, so we might as well get it over with.

"half" vs. "almost the majority"
You, my friend, have mastered the art of political spin.
Yes this guy is going to spin it as outside money trying to influence the kentucky election. This is exactly what he is setting up with that letter.
RPFIG and erowe, I agree about the multi-candidate bomb. But nothing is stopping us from exercising our freedom to host another bomb or event for Rand. All we need is $100 average from all the past donors, which will be assisted by the emergence of new donors. Christmas is coming and the economy sucks, but I still think it's very doable. Commence brain racking.
I don't want to discourage anyone from donating to Rand or any other great candidate, no matter what the occasion. So I hope my snippy comment about a multi-candidate bomb doesn't get taken that way. But we do have one coming in December. My own personal preference would be that that one be the only one for the quarter.
