"Johnson would be in SO far over his head as president that it isn't even funny."
How so? Too much experience or what?

Even people who do not like Gary Johnson should support him just to get the values of liberty into the debates.
He has A LOT more appeal to progressives as well.
Not a chance. He supports abortion.

He's a joke.
No thanks.
If Ron Paul doesn't run third party, we might as well get behind Gary Johnson. He's only 7 points away from getting into the debates...

Top story on reddit today.
Even the socalists and progressives are willing to get behind him. No one mistakenly thinks he's racist or crazy. This could be huge for us...

Thats a poor reason not to support someone. Abortion is one of the most pointless issues there are. Why would you make this issue a deal breaker? I disagree with Ron Paul on abortion, but I still support him, because abortion is a stupid, pointless issue.
60 million aborted babies disagree. I don't support anyone for President who supports abortion, gay rights, or gun control period. No exceptions to those issues, they are very important to me. I am actually a paleo-con who supported Ron Paul.

I'm interested in knowing how being anti-gay rights can possibly fit inside a libertarian viewpoint.

Those are some of the least important issues. Granted its a positive if a candidate agrees with you on those issues, but you shouldn't be eliminating candidates based on that. There are far more important issues. If Obama or Romney agreed with you on all those issues, would you vote for them?

I wasn't aware that Ron Paul was against gay rights.
Who says I'm a libertarian? I'm a paleo-con. My first choice political idol is Pat Buchanan. However, he's not running so I supported Ron Paul in 2008 and 2012.
I'm not either... it's Zap that's under question here. Or, was:
Ah, I see.
Apologies.
Romney probably does agree with me on those three issues (or so he says). But he's terrible on globalization, the Patriot Act, and drones so I can't vote for him either. Constitution Party is my best hope.
