I hated him for going after Paul. At this point, he may be our only chance at winning the important issues. He has A LOT more appeal to progressives as well.

Thats one of the things I like most about him. I think a cost/benefit approach is much more rational than trying to make everything a moral debate.

He has more management experience than Ron Paul. If anyone would be over his head as president, it would be Ron Paul. Ron has no management experience. Thats not to say Ron wouldn't be a good president. I'm just saying Ron would be more likely to be overwhelmed being that that would be his first job as a manager.

If Ron Paul doesn't run, he has .00000000001 chance of winning. Gary Johnson would have a trillion times better odds ESPECIALLY if he got in the debates.

Gary Johnson inherited a deficit, balanced the budget AND bequeathed a surplus.

He did it in eight years, as a "red" governor in a "blue" state, AND he breezed to reelection despite vetoing more than 750 spending bills...more than any governor (or president) in the nation.

Don't like him? Your business. Won't vote for him? Your business.

Impugning his ABILITY & ACCOMPLISHMENT? Your wounded pride is showing, and your credibility is in question.

It makes GOBS more sense to be mad at Rand Paul than at Gary Johnson.

In my opinion, someone who doesn't run doesn't deserve my vote. If Ron wants my vote again, he'll have to run third party.

How long is this "No one but Paul" thing supposed to go on? Are we going to continue to write-in Ron Paul in 50 years after he's dead?

I think proving to "them" that we're willing to budge is actually a very good thing - it would show them that if they give us a good candidate, we'll be more than willing to support them. Writing in Ron Paul will probably just reinforce the idea that we're nothing more than a cult of personality.

I wrote in Ron Paul in 2008 because I didn't feel that any of the candidates on the ballot were acceptable. I find Gary Johnson to be acceptable enough to vote for this time around, so that's what I'm going to do.
