Lets be clear: The polls are correct

we got about the same number of indiviudal votes as in iowa, if we get 10,000 votes in every state we'll win many of the smaller states.

Have you congratulated Obama yet?

Anyway, the polls are bullshit less because they're inaccurate and more because they lead rather than reflect public opinion.

Well, the polls gave Obama a clear win 10 points ahead. They also had Ron Paul at 14% just a couple of days ago. So this is all BS.

I don't understand how we can do worse in the "live free or die" state than Iowa? We didn't even try that hard in iowa.

My guess is that Iowa has a lot of farmers who are sick of filling out zillions of government forms and undergoing government inspections and dealing with petty laws, whereas New Hampshire has a lot of people who commute to Boston and work in big corporations and don't think much about government oppression. That's how I imagine it, anyway.

I'm an Iowa voter, they told us everything

They didn't get 3rd and 3rd like they wanted, but they can still work with what they have if they pay attention to the demographics

You heard me right, they purposefully didn't shoot for first as it would have opened them up to massive attacks before super tuesday, which is the reason why almost no one who wins NH ever wins the General election.

They are in this for the long haul, Paul has faced much worse odds than this and won in a landslide.

Don't give up.

This is from Iowa

He also says .....Get ready to get sick of RP ads!!

You have to wonder why they only spent about a million or so in NH.

Long time lurker and first time poster.

I'm 25 and I'm glad that I have awaken from my neocon slumber. I will be a Ron Paul supporter (Constitution lover) for the rest of my life.

Anyways, this is all you need to know from the CNN exit poll:

More Important to Your Vote:
Issues (44%)
Personal Qualities (52%)

New Hampshire is just like the rest of the country. They get caught up in celebrity and MSM hype. Hopefully some day, people will wake up like I did, and realize how far we have been led away from our founding fathers.

I still have hope, and I will vote for Ron Paul in California's primary, but it is his message that I will carry with me forever.

well i think someone should rig Zogby, Rasmussen, and Gallup's Databases!! Get them to call 150 of us at at time!!!

Ron Paul has to e on TV, even if means Fox News. Americans watch TV 4 hours a day on an average. We have to capture this audience. Without this, all the independents, in every state will go to Obama. We've worked very hard in NH, and all that work went down the drain.

Hell, we need to do something, protest, ask votes to be counted manually on paper, anything that can prevent a rigging.

And IMHO, Ron Paul has to be on TV, Big Time. Let us look for some projects where we can put RP on the idiot box in our states... Coz if we don't, Obama will suck up all independent votes.

It is being discussed here in Grassroots Central:

You have to wonder why they only spent $1 million in NH on ads.

It's Up to Us - and We've Only Just Begun!

Hey! Stop this now! Do what YOU can do today to make Ron Paul president. The defeatist mentality is exactly what THEY want us to have.

The only reason Dr. Paul's numbers are not higher tonight is simple: Not enough people have heard of Ron Paul, and/or not enough people have been TOLD about Ron Paul and the issues he raises.

RON PAUL IS A PROPHET! He has foreseen SO MANY Of the things happening to this country before they have happened. He has been RIGHT about all of it! ALL OF IT!

Folks need to be MADE aware of his knowledge and competency, and his record.

In other words.. GET OUT THERE AND TALK TO FOLKS!

Don't consider your day done until you convert someone to a Paulite!

I converted 2 old ladies who were visiting a patient today. I converted a McCain supporter by phone, as she was talking to the patient I was TREATING in the ROOM!

Once folks WAKE UP to the economic status of our nation, it is very easy to point them to the ONLY one able to help us.

I agree wholeheartedly! Many people by now have seen the signs and heard the name - which is GREAT because name recognition is key - but now they have to hear the message. It is up to US to spread the word. DO NOT allow the negativity of some of the people here get you down. This is nowhere near over. We've finished in the Top 5 in the first 3 states. That is GREAT considering that just 2 or 3 months ago none one had ever heard of Ron Paul. His support is GROWING by leaps and bounds and we have a ton of money in the bank, unlike the rest of the GOP candidates who are BROKE (except self-financed Romney).

Sign waving is great, but we need to start going door to door or standing outside grocery stores, malls, etc. and talking to our neighbors about the state of the U.S. and what RP plans to do to fix it. People have NO IDEA what dire condition this country is in! Burn CDs of Ron Paul's best speeches and hand them out. If you're the shy type, print your message out and stuff mailboxes with your plea for Paul, CD, slim jims, etc. You can also help by phone banking. Join the meetup group in your area and get on the phone to get the word out!

It is NOWHERE near over, guys! Giving up is NOT an option. Are you really ready to give up on freedom because "it doesn't look good?" Aside from that not being true, it's not over until it's OVER. Ron Paul himself said he will keep going as long as we back him. Let's back our man up with all the support he needs, monetarily and otherwise, until the very end! We CAN do this - it's about how much effort YOU put into this fight. It's easy to blame this and that, but it's important to remain POSITIVE and energized. Those "realists" are really being negative because the reality of the matter is that we have only just begun! :D

We're hovering just under 8% in New Hampshire. Lets not do this "the polls don't account for cell phones" or "they only poll people who voted Republican before" since, even if either of these are true, those people don't vote anyways.

Now lets look at raising those poll numbers.

Rasmussen 01/08/08

Giuliani 13%

Huckabee 21%

Thompson 11%

Romney 19%

McCain 18%

[edit}: never mind these are nationwide results..

Walk down your street people and ask your neighbor's who they support. Do your own random poll. I did and it was pathetic. People aren't ready for freedom.

Ya you walk down your street and half the people never even vote. That will tell you sqwat

Or they vote, but not too different from people with landlines.

Good point, as well.

Maybe if people here hadn't had their heads buried in the sand for the past 6 months decrying the polls, we would have realized just how hard we would have had to work to win.

People here have been saying since Ames over the summer that New Hampshire belonged to Ron Paul, even when the polls have indicated all along that nothing could be further from the truth.

People here like to speculate about the government controlling the masses.

Well the truth is that people who deny reality and hide behind conspiracy theories and irrational beliefs are the ones who are controlled - rendered impotent by their inability to cope with reality.

Welcome to the world that works.

Exactly. Lets assume the polls are right and do better next time.

We got 9.221% of the vote in those precincts where the ballots were hand-counted (before these corrections come into play to increase that some) and Giuliani got 8.174% in those same hand-counted areas.

We got only 7.109% in the diebold-counted areas, whereas Giuliani got 8.588%.
