Simple question, between Obama and McCain who would you rather see in office?

The question is NOT who would you vote for, but rather assuming one of them gets in - who would be less destructive to the country?

See... that's not the question that helps us though.

The more destructive, the better they'll wake up.

McCain has no rhetoric skills.. he's a bumbling wreck.

I think more people will come over to our side, think government is generally bad, immoral etc... get closer to waking up.. than Obama..

He'll fk up alright... but hte people will believe in him or who he blames.. Massive corps etc..

F--- them both...

Obomba might hestitate briefly before incinerating a bunch of nameless ragheads.

McCryptkeeper will be pounding the big red button with one hand while furiously masturbating with the other.

Ick! thanks for the disturbing visual! ewwwwwww Must Scrub Image From Brain!
lol

Reminds me of a game we'd use to play when I was a kid. One kid would say something like, "Would you rather be eaten by sharks, or boiled in oil?" And then the game was on.

Haha! +1

Didn't vote. Lesser of two evils is still evil.

Can't make a judgment call because I believe they would be equally destructive to the country. On every issue.

I can't say they'd be equally destructive, as they'd do different things, but I'd say predicting the actual results of either gives approximately equally bad ratings.

Wake up and smell the radioactive fallout

I wish McCain didn't know that the only way he can win is after some "incident". He'll do anything to please mommy and win the Presidency.

Obama: willing to concede to the will of those who get a hard-on for war, especially against brown people.

McCain: One of those who gets a hard-on for war, especially against brown people.

I had to break the tie and go with Obama... I strongly disagree with some of his positions but he at least is taking charge and acting like a leader which is more than McCain can say. Maybe it will be enough to win some favor internationally and get our economy restarted. McCain will simply be another 4 years of Bush and I fear the further decline we would face under such conditions.

The strongest positive I concede to Obama is how his Image would help America pull out of a PR nose-dive. But who wants to continue competing in the Socialist Beauty Contest when we'll go broke putting on the show (regardless of the immorality of the policy it takes to compete)?

Obama just because he seems less eager to bring on Armageddon.

He won't be able control the War machine, and he admits it. He'll just be better able to explain to America why his advisers thought it was a good idea to bomb Russia/Iran/China.

Neither did I, but I enjoyed the conversation.

im scared of obama getting elected, everything completely crashing, and the sheeple saying "oh well it was all bush's fault and obama just inherited it and couldn't do anything"

I would not vote for either but having the Republicans lose big time may wake them up - at least the rank and file, not the neocons in power. As for the Democrats, maybe they'll wake up to the fact that Obama doesn't stand for real change and we'll probably still be in Iraq and/or Afghanistan and/or Iran.

I say Obama, only because IMO, the GOP needs to *look* less evil in order for my evil plan to come to fruition.
That said, I refuse to vote for the lesser of two evils, so I am boycotting this thread. lol

I want Obama to win so all the imbeciles will see that party is irrelevant and that the little "D" beside his name doesn't mean "safe alternative to Republican".

Then maybe fools will wake up and vote on platform, not party.

Edit - But I still hate this poll because it's like asking if I'd like to be shot in my left foot or my right foot. Both outcomes suck, even if one is less sucky than the other. My left foot heals up and I'm scarred for life with a terrible limp; the cool kids think I'm trying to be a gangster and laugh at me which ultimately crushes my self-esteem and ends in an OD on painkillers. Or, my right foot becomes gangrenous and I lose it; years later my German Shepherd Scottie rips my prosthetic off and runs across the street and I'm hit by a semi as I limp after him in hot pursuit.

I mean..to summarize, it's going to be awful regardless.

Well my sig says it all. So Obama all the way

The GOP/Bush/McCain have almost no respect interntionally. Which means America has no respect right now. I mean real respect, not the fake stuff people are forced to show at times.

Bush and the GOP get protests in Europe, Obama gets cheering supportive crowds.

Plus after the way Ron Paul has been treated by the GOP all across the country, do you really want to reward them for that?

HELL NO!

Screw them in 08, let them lose big time, and in the off years the Ron Paul people can gain power by 2012, the GOP will have been gutted if they lose huge in 08.

Short term pain, long term gain, people think about it. Vote stratigically in 08, if your in a state that Obama or McCain will win anyways make your statement by writting in Ron Paul or vote for third party of choice. But if you are in a swing state like Florida don't throw such an important deciding vote away. Remember Florida 2000, a block of Ron Paul type voters would have made a difference that year, Ron Paul has enough supporters that in certain states they could be the difference.

i'm leaning towards this line of thinking
i think mccain is a LITTLE less evil, but i want him to lose because:
1) we need obama to screw things up so we know it isn't a republican problem
2) we can come back in 2012, hopefully with RP
3) i have a personal hatred for the GOP and mccain for mistreating RP

they both suck but obama is more socialist.

Hmmm national socialist mccain... or just plain old hard core state socialism with obama..

Socialism isn't actually immoral... if it's voluntary... thing is.. it never is ;)

Next time you meet a socialist... ask them if their a voluntary or coercive socialist.. Hahah.. :D

They'll more than likely struggle with that one..
