Lemonade Freedom Day, August 20th, 2011

How sick is it that we even have to have such a thing?

I'm in, so are the kids.

Lemonade for Freedom!

How about an open carry lemonade freedom day? Or am I just being sour?

There have been enough reports about how the law has come down on our children - the assault on basic capitalism.

Lets show folks fighting back - civil disobedience is another valuable lesson.

Good idea Robert!

Might as well try Drudge too :D

It'll sell around here. But putting the kids outside all afternoon could easily be considered reckless endangerment right now.

You mundanes are just asking for a tazing and a fine. ;)

Not around here.

The cops would have to get out of their air conditioned squad cars to do it.

For those who do this--have more than one camera going. One for the cops to confiscate and at least one more that they can't readily see.

I love it. I'd prefer "String Up a Corrupt Elected Official Day" or "Beat The Crap Out Of Some POS Cop Day", but this works. I'm gonna spread the word at my company. amador County needs to be involved in this.

I think that the idea of TEA PARTY (Tea being an acronym for Taxed Enough Already) may not hold as much weight as (drum roll) The Lemonade Party!

Hi. I am Robert Fernandes. I set up that event. The Facebook page has over 1200 participants so far and growing. I am trying to get the word out nation wide. The goal is to get good people to disobey bad laws. We also want to introduce kids to civil disobedience. We have many parents and adults participating. There are even a few groups that organized local events. One group of activists in Washington DC will be setting up a lemonade stand right on the Capital lawn. They will not shut down if asked to do so and they will be running a live stream of the event on Talley.tv. I am trying to get more national attention on this. As you all know, there is strength in numbers. We need to get the government out of our lives. And this is a great way to teach that lesson to the kids. I appreciate all of your help in this!

I know Libertybrewcity already posted the links above, but here they are again...

This ought to be on the Front Page, here, at Drudge, Info Wars, Rense, etc.

This sounds like a great idea.
But make sure that the Children are up to it, and are working the stands, and as prepared as possible for arrest. They should be fully supported by adults, but in control of the stand and confrontation as possible.
Getting that on video would be priceless.

let the authoritarians arrest children on video. (have Lawyers and Media on speed dial)
