Leftists surging on the internet

It IS true. I am quite versed in human nature. To the experienced eye, they become all too obvious. And there's a simple way to actually verify it. Call them on it, and they sh*t themselves and suddenly retreat into silence. They have not been trained to deal with being caught out. Now obviously some are just idiots with nothing better to do, but some ARE trained and paid propagandists. If you haven't worked out yet that this is an all-out information war, you're not going to be as effective in this campaign as you might otherwise be. The most inexpensive way to damage public opinion is to employ people to target an individual online and attack. And when one person has 4 or 5 usernames going at once, they can create quite the storm in the teacup. Please stop being so naive.

You mean Paul and "everybody else." We have to get through a GOP primary first... ;)

Right, but make the narrative concentrate on how Paul compares to Obama instead of how he compares to Romney or Huckabee.

Huckabee, Romney, and Obama are pretty much the same candidates when it comes to the warfare/welfare spending state.

Jeremy, if you think your rank immaturity has a place in this campaign, please think again.

I'm not being immature. You're making absurd claims about other people and you have no proof to back them up. Your evidence is "I am quite versed in human nature." That's ridiculous. No one is "naive" for not trusting your apparent knowledge about human nature. You're statements are as ridiculous as leftists claiming that RPF members are paid by the Koch brothers. Why would anyone take that seriously? We don't need to discredit our political opponents as nonexistent in order to win arguments.

You don't "have time to read a thread", still declare every leftist on the net a "PAID provocateur", and then think that Jeremy is being immature because he points out your over the top claims?

Your claims are unsubstantiated and collectivist in nature. Also highly improbable. Reddit sees over 14 Million unique visitors per month. Those are real people who could be open to our cause.

This post is promising to see it upvoted: http://www.reddit.com/r/politics/co...on_paul_lovers_you_will_never_be_able/c1r753h

Maybe you should have read the thread?

Reddit has many real people that took the Obama train of 2008 after the RP train of 2007 was derailed. I think many will be open to helping in the 2011 R primary since the blue team will already put up Obama.

They've read a lot of liberal writing and spin over the years. Probably a similar dose to the Bush Republicans who stood by his side til he left office.

There will be new blood as well as converts. Ignoring them all as propagandists isn't wise imo.

Reddit is a fantastic website and you should all have an account there. It will make you smarter.

They call themselves the "hive mind," always agreeing with each other on their leftist/atheist positions.

One does not need to believe in mysticism to support Ron Paul and be a fiscal conservative. While many libertarians are religious, many others are atheist/agnostic/free thinkers.

Needless to say, there is no connection between being "leftist" and ones level of religiosity (or lack thereof).

I have no idea about reddit per se but wasn't there a news story the other day about the FBI joining online social networks?

The way conspiracy theories work is you take something with maybe a little grain of truth to it or a rumor and then apply it to EVERYTHING.

Really? They haven't been trained to say "No. WTF are you talking about?"

This is some pretty weak sauce training.

I totally agree. Ron Paul rules the internet.

I don't think Ron Paul was ever the "internet candidate". Obama has 19,500,000 likes on facebook, Ron Paul has 300,000. That's not even the same ballpark. Maybe he was in terms of "noise" and a more vocal following, but not in terms of numbers.
.

Uh, yeah because Obama is President and Ron Paul is a Congressman.
Where were you in 2007?? Back then, Ron Paul was killing everybody else, on both sides, on myspace, facebook, web searches, web traffic, and on and on and on

I'd just like to say also that, I was a Ron Paul supporter since the early days of the 2007 exploratory committee. Back then, I could find 2 Ron Paul youtube videos. There was very little buzz anywhere on the internet about Ron Paul. It wasn't until after the debates that that really got started. Here in 2011, Ron Paul supporters haven't dissapeared. I doubt many of them supported Obama. No one I know that enthusiastically supported RP in 07-08 supports Obama.

In 2007, I don't remember such a large amount of leftists in the various internet communities. Right now on Reddit, there is a popular anti Ron Paul post on the front page. Reddit has been like this for some time and I think it's a reaction to the tea party. They call themselves the "hive mind," always agreeing with each other on their leftist/atheist positions.

I remember in 2007, Digg.com was all pro-Paul. Then when he started losing in 2008, it switched to pro-Obama. I just don't think we are going to have this huge internet support like we did in 2007. And we probably need to forget about the liberals and focus on the conservatives / apathetics. The problem is that the liberals on the internet are converting apathetics too.

I agree with their atheist positions, and I'm a libertarian. Why associate lefties with atheism, and why the negative connotation toward the only reasonable position to hold with regard to existence?

Reddit isn't the internet, but it's completely dominated by leftists. They even come into the out-of-the-way libertarian subreddit to vote down posts. We won't win reddit, but we will win youtube and all the online polls.
