I would not use the word 'alliance', it was a temporary arrangement of convenience as when Santorum told his people to vote for romney delegates in MN. Two outnumbered when the one with the most votes but not majority tries to ramrod things through. the WSJ already is brewing a new 'Romney / Ron deal' story out of this and that is nonsense. Both were serving independent interests.

I would really suggest no one tied to Ron Paul in any way tell someone running for office that they are fucked in the head in a way (like email) which can be shown to the media in a bout of victimization.

He has done badly and there is tons of video. Don't hand him something to wiggle out from the weight of public opinion with.

Now remember will are the dominant force and that with persistence and thought we will make these folks irrelevant. We must get delegates and we can do this in many different ways including (and sometimes recommended) stealth.

On a side note when things do proceed, do not get wrapped up in platform issues as they are a non issue in the big picture and only serve to "out" your stance and many times alienate support or potential support in the future.
