Kucinich loses House seat

Redistricting by the Republican-controlled state legislature threw Kucinich into the same district as another Democratic incumbent, Marcy Kaptur. The two had to compete in a primary. Kucinich lost.

Her radio ads were really devoid of integrity; made me want to barf.

Not to piss anyone off , but one Buckeye Dem is the same as another , they will bankrupt your country , snatch some weapons on the way , I say , after it all collapses and they starve , make tools from the bones they leave , they deserve that fate , some of the others they will starve do not . Feel sorry for Denny ? , just picture him flying around with the President while they decide how that bullshit health care vote has to be made . Still feel sorry for him ? , Well , do not, your tax dollars get to pay him a pension for his ride on air force one.

Yup still feel bad that one of the most vocal anti-war and anti-Fed people at the federal level is gone.

Currently, I think Kaputor is the stronger of the two. Amazing how the game works & they gerry-madered the districts into one..

I've met Dennis & like him, but he wasn't that effective as a Congressman. He deserves lifetime recognition for voting against the Iraq war.
He had the chairmanship of a GOV oversight committee & promised to take the insider trading on 911 put options into the light... but he didn't.

Guy might be better outside of Congress, trying to fight for things he believes in, in the media/thinktank/grass-roots, etc.

If Paul went Indy, you would want this guy on the team. I don't think he's VP material, but he could run something beneficial to the American people.

I am not saddened. It was a full fledge anti-human Socialist.

Wasn't he the dick douche that went on a plan trip with Obama right before the Obamacare vote that secured victory in the House?

I am glad he lost.

Well when your own party runs another candidate against you it pretty much means they want you out. The GOP did it Ron Paul in 2010. They actually put a "Tea Party" candidate up against Ron. I laughed when I heard that.

That sucks. But I lost some respect for him when he voted for Obamacare.

This.

Bye Dennis. Pack up and leave you socialist hack.

For all you Kucinich fans, you are aware that the Constitution does include Article I Section 8, right? Dennis seems to have forgotten that clause means, or doesn't think it exists.

Kucinich opposes war abroad and the war on drugs here at home. War is a racket, the health of the state, and big government's best friend. The simple fact that he opposes those two things makes him a greater ally in liberty than the vast majority of the GOP. He's also against the Fed, opposes Gitmo, voted against NDAA, and opposed TARP. Yeah, he's socialist. And the GOP isn't? The difference is a matter of degree, not of principle.

Go ahead, name me Republicans who meet all of the above criteria.

Your hero Ronald Reagan tripled the national debt, by the way. So in his rendezvous with history, he sentenced me and others born during and after his reign of terror to enslavement under the crushing burden of debt and expanding government. And if we wanted to smoke weed or whatever to escape the grim reality of our futures, well, we'd get thrown in a cage, thanks to his massive expansion of the drug war.

You'll forgive me if I can see the merit in Kucinich's opposing the blatant slaughter of innocent people around the world, even if he's an oppressive statist economically.

i'm going to miss him. the Democrat who won
is about to take on 'joe the plumber' for his seat.

Doesn't matter to me. Kucinich is a socialist. Don't care for him at all.

He's a socialist, in the most benign sense. He's not a corporatism. He believes in domestic welfare to the max.. but he's Anti-Fed, and Anti-War, and when you think about the gravity of those problems, domestic welfare seems pretty benign.

I wasn't a fan of his, but he will always be one of the more unique people elected from the state of Ohio. He was a bit of an anomaly as far as Ohio politics are concerned.

The fact that he thinks we ought to be taxed because we breathe outweighs anything that he might be right on. He DID NOT vote to audit the Fed.

Yes, he's anti-war, and anti-drug war. However, he believes in the power of government force to steal my earnings to give to someone else who he deems "deserving". He also believes in the power of government force to tell me what's good for me. I fail to see how that makes him any better than a neo-con who wants to steal my earnings to go bomb brown people. Both actions are reprehensible.

Kuchinch is a broken clock, he's right twice a day.

I'm not sure why some of your are upset. The guy was a strong advocate for extremely large government. Even his few good issues, like foreign policy, he wasn't very consistent on.

It is my favorite , I want it used .

Except that domestic welfare has led to $15T in debt, will cause untold economic misery for hundreds of millions of people, led to federal control of most aspects of our lives, and we are unable to stop it.

BTW, because of population shifts, Ohio lost two Representatives in Congress - and none of them were retiring ....

+ Rep. Domestic welfare is the main reason why this country is in ruin, especially if you look at the budget outlays. In fact, you could make an argument that domestic welfare through Social Security embezzlement has granted the U.S. greater maneuerability in pursuing an imperialistic foreign policy. SS is a main reason why our bonds were bought by foreign investors. Ron's brother talked about this extensively stating that the SS pool is viewed as collateral.
