[Kickoff 2012] NFL Football is Back: Discuss your games here.

The "Tuck Rule Game"
Somehow I missed that game live, even though I watched a lot of football that year.

I won't be able to get over that until Brady and Bellichick are gone. Fuck the patriots. Big time cheaters. And it all started with that "incomplete pass" against Oakland...

Anyone have time to explain the Tuck Rule?
I never bothered to learn; I could guess, but...
What the QB sticks the ball near his stomach, and is immune from fumbles? / Brady didn't tuck, he was passing the ball...

yeahhhhh we're not going anywhere in the playoffs looking like this. A field goal at this point would feel like a TD.

Are the Ravens missing the offensive coordinator they fired this week? At halftime it is 17-0 and Baltimore has just four first downs- going 0 for 6 on third down conversions. Time of possession in half an hour of game time- eleven minutes. Until their final drive of the half with about two minutes left they had about 50 yards total offense (the final drive resulted in a 98 yard TD interception by Denver). That drive accounted for about half their total offensive output so far in the game.

Go Broncos! Remaining games- Cleveland and Kansas City.

Well the Ravens did get a couple of touchdowns and a field goal. Denver misses a field goal at the end of the game but "holds on" to win 34- 17.

I don't think anyone can miss Cam Cameron.

*Survivor of his 2007 1-15 HC campaign in Miami.

Sheer irony his only win that year was the Ravens. But ouch.

In other news... go cowboys!!

Edit: Oh you edited to add the tidbit about the Ravens :)

Seahawks fake punt in the 4th leading by 30....whoa....taking no prisoners from Seattle...mixed feelings about that play...looks like they'll score inside the 5...

QB controversy in Washington. :D

lol jk.

Kidding? But Obama has tens of millions of liberals completely disgusted. What bigger quarterback controversy could there be?

Or were you talking about the state? Helps to be specific--the city and the state are about three thousand miles and a million light years apart.

Adrian Peterson had over 220 yards rushing today! Needs 300 in last two games to set regular season rushing record. He still has it!

The NFL lost me as a viewer quite some time ago. I couldn't care less now. Too many trades and too many teams. From my perspective, teams no longer have an identity and a personality that transcends more than a season or two, and that was apparently important for me. I guess it's still quite popular. At least the NFL is scrupulously officiated, unlike the sham NBA that is essentially Big Time Wrestling theater.
