[Kickoff 2012] NFL Football is Back: Discuss your games here.

Quarterbacks and coaches get both the credit and the blame but they do have to rely on a large supporting cast to get things done. I haven't followed Dallas but since I live in San Diego (am from Colorado hence the Denver fan) and have seen what can happen without adequate player support. Chargers offensive line lost a couple of key players and others were hurt. That meant fewer lanes for running backs to gain yards and less protection for the passer to do his thing so Rivers was forcing things when he should not have thrown the ball and turned the ball over a lot. If guys aren't blocking or aren't catching the ball, the QB is going to look bad. Chargers joined six other teams in firing their coaches today.

Philladelphia- Andy Reid
Chicago- Lovie Smith
Arizona- Ken Weisenhut
Cleveland- Pat Shurmer
Buffalo- Chan Galiey
Kansas City- Romeo Crennel
San Diego- Norv Turner (along with General Manager AJ Smith)

Six teams will also be looking for a new General Manager.

Chargers- AJ Smith
Cleveland- Tom Heckert
NY Jets- Mike Tannenbaum
Jacksonville- Gene Smith
St Louis- Rod Graves
Carolina Panthers fired Marty Hurney during the season

Romeo Crennel was fired?

I'm shocked, I tell you--shocked!

Not much of a reward for putting the Chiefs in position to enjoy the finest of this summer's draft picks.

I've always liked Romo and I feel that he can succeed, but at this point I am open to anything.

If I were Romo, I'd walk away from the Dallas Cowboys and find another team to lead, because this ship is on permanent sink status. Romo's talent is too good to stay in Dallas.
I feel the same way. I hate to say this, but I could easily imagine a Romo-led team beating the Cowboys in a playoff game one day.

RG III and Russell Wilson next week.......oh boy....any predictions on QB total yards?

Wilson...185 total
RG III...220

Seahawks by 10

I agree with all 3 of those statements. I would LOVE to see what Romo could do with another team; I would even root for him until and unless his team plays the Cowboys (wouldn't that be ironic if he beats them in a playoff game...OMG)

The credit for the Cowboys 3 SBs of the 90s goes solely to Jimmy Johnson. Case closed.

The Cowboys will never go anywhere with Jerry Jones; unfortunately, Jerry Jones isn't going away.

Lol it would be awesome to see him beat them in the playoffs...what teams would be a good fit for him?

Jimmy Johnson and one crazy CRAZY ass trade :P

Yep, it'll be like the yankees and Raiders.

Those are some interesting buttons on that there controller there. The one thing I remember from watching over the years is he is NOT clutch. But look at the team he plays on.

Ray Lewis announced that he will retire at the end of this season (his 17th season in the NFL). Definitely sad to see such a great player go, regardless of what you may think of his character. Certainly should provide a bit of motivation for my Ravens this week.

character?
he either stabbed or had a roll( participated ) in the stabbing death of two people
(rumors are they were browns fans) and then rolled over on his buddies so he could keep making millions and they would get caged.
character...
