Kerry Bentivolio Money Bomb on June 14!

Bentivolio was just endorsed by Michigan Right to Life. That nearly seals the nomination in my opinion. It helps that the guy who hand picked the write-in (L Brooks Patterson) is a pro-choice liberal Republican. If another prominent Michigan politician endorses Kerry, the write-in will just have to concede.

He of course still needs money.

Cassis says she got the Michigan Right to Life endorsement too.

We need an Amash, a Schiff, a Ron, and a Rand endorsement. Throw in a Palin one for the Tea Party folks. Some help from the Liberty for All PAC wouldn't hurt. All in all though, it looks as though his campaign has passed the first hurdle; showing viability. Once he wins the primary, the establishment will most likely fall in line. It should get easier now, but there is still a lot of work to do. I hope he knows how to pivot after the primary so he can introduce himself to the moderate/establishment Republicans and independents too. His district is Republican, but not overwhelmingly.

She was probably referring back when she was a state Senator. But if not, kind of makes an endorsement worthless (even more worthless than Rand's :p).

I don't think so. I assume they endorsed both candidates.

I've never seen Right to Life endorse more than one candidate in a primary. During the Governor's race, they only endorsed Mike Cox instead of Hoekstra and Bouchard (received pro-life endorsements before). I think they endorse the most pro-life person who can win. If McCotter were on the ballot, there's no way they would have endorsed Bentivolio as well. But it wouldn't surprise me if they're in the establishment's back pocket. We shall see.

I have. In 2010 Indiana Right to Life endorsed all 4 candidates in the Republican primary for US Senate.

I was actually worried about this yesterday. I think I checked it around 8 pm EST and the ticker was at 36%.

I think the ticker stopped functioning at some point. I made a donation when it was at 35% I think and more than 1 hour later it hadn't moved.

The campaign is staffing up, so this one seems to be rolling at last. Also, this man served in 3 wars - he needs to post some old pictures in uniform on the website/facebook to defuse the anti-troops stuff. The reindeer are cute, but c'mon dude.

Good luck.

Based upon my understanding is that they got a lot of local donations in physical checks and whatnot, so it wasn't reflected in the online ticker.
Yep, they got over $18k plus my contribution earlier today via when I spoke with the treasurer whilst campaigning at the liberty fest. Kerry also got endorsed by Amash today as well.

good work. Hopefully Ron and Rand send an email soon so we can get dude some serious cashola to get the ball rollin'. Anyone know if they're going to allow stickers on the ballots like had been proposed?

AFAIK, that won't fly in MI like it did in AK, which is why not many are concerned about the insider lady running. Some party folk have a hard-on for us so they're using Cassis as a stooge to try to drain us. Won't work cause all we need money for is lit, we have an army of volunteers all of whom are old hats at canvassing. Plus, we're already gonna have the absentee ballots on our side which is why Cassis is a fool to think she has a chance.

Kerry had better be careful. The verbage difference between he and his challenger is pretty big. He said "the republican challenger" and she said that "she" was endorsed by MI RFL. It may be a trick to try and trip him up and create more of a story out of the endorsement. From what I have read, the whisper campaign they are trying to mount is that he is pro-choice.

Great, now I'm even more confused. Was the status saying that he (the "Republican Challenger") was endorsed or that the write-in candidate was endorsed? Because to me, the write-in is the challenger not Bentivolio.

Can you clarify, is she running a write-in in the GOP primary (and her campaign ends if Bentivolio wins the primary), or is she running as a write-in for the general election?
