Kentucky Democrat Jim Gray says the state needs a more devoted Senator!

Jim Gray, the jerk who "forced" Paul to come home early by running against him for Senate recently, is actually challenging Paul's work ethic.

The logic he's using is so weak... I get that he's challenging Paul's work ethic in terms of specifically Kentucky support, but to challenge the job Paul is doing at all is unbelievable. Paul is an elite and top tier Senator who is a work horse for liberty, with a few day-long filibusters under his belt! He defends the Constitution more than anyone else in Congress. It's clear to me that Gray just wants more power, because anyone who thinks they can better help the country than Rand Paul as a Senator is ridiculous. Can we declare Jim Gray an enemy of the paleocon/liberty/grassroots movement? Having someone for us to bash will help channel our anger from the presidential campaign result, especially if it's for good reason.

Apparently he's very wealthy. He has no shot though. KY will not elect a homo senator and that's coming from a gay.

I don't get the bullshit narrative that someone entering the race is what forced Rand to end his campaign. He knew even in 2012 he would have to run 2 campaigns, the D's just recently got run out on a rail in KY, there are no real primary challengers and when it was a given that the D's would find someone to run against him, they finally convinced probably the worst possible candidate to do it.

After running a POTUS campaign the last 9 months, the KY campaign will be like a vacation for Rand. He's going to win this by 30 points or more.

Yup, Rand's Senate seat was never going to be in jeopardy regardless of how long he stayed in the presidential race.

Incredibly weak attack. This guy has no chance. Rand made almost all of the votes and has returned $2 million back to the taxpayers from his senate office

Okay, I edited the original post to put "forced" in quotes. I get that there's other factors, but the way everyone was talking about it, it seemed like Jim Gray was one factor that made Paul leave earlier than preferred. Do you think that perhaps all the media articles saying how Rand Paul's re-election is "by no means a safe bet" is just the liberal media trying to make things interesting?

No, they are just trolling him. They've been saying it since June or July. None of those writers have any idea of KY politics.

Yup and Rand will have over 60% of the votes.

He must be thinking of Marco Rubio. A lot of low information voters (and candidates) don't know which person does what.

Jim Grey thinks that this is a picture of Rand Paul:

Dayum, Body Tweaker of the House!

It's quite assuring that someone with Paul's ideology can have complete control of a state. I know most of you are probably for term limits, but without them, we could really maintain control of the states liberty candidates do get control of, for a very long time, and never give an inch in our movement as people slowly figure out the truth.

Senate races in general favor the incumbent. Every now and then one gets knocked off, but look at Lindsey Graham and what people on here were trying to do to get him primary'd.

need to focus on getting behind Kelli Ward to take down McCain this time. Rand will win his seat no problem.

That narrative was designed to hurt him in the POTUS race.

Niow that that's over, they'll start playing it from the other side:

"Sen. Paul was too busy promoting himself on the national stage to serve the people of Kentucky...."

....blab blah bullshit

The Dem hasn't got a chance in hell, though, even if he weren't a homo.

Why? Whats so great about her? And "She isn't McCain" is not a valid answer.

Actually I kind of like that answer. I'd vote for a ham sandwich over McCain. Luckily, Kelli Ward is pretty good. We've had quite a few threads about her, promoted to the front page, but it seems like that hasn't resulted in much exposure.
