Kent Snyder RIP

Kent gave the campaign everything he had, it is this spirit that will save America. Everyone should read Dr. Paul's post on the CFL site.

Glad he was able to see the movement grow at such an astonishing pace. Like others have said, Kent was extremely nice and personable if you ever had the chance to meet him.

Let's honor his memory by continuing to fight for liberty.
Rest In Peace Kent Snyder

This is so tragic. I'm so terribly sorry for his loss and for all who knew him. We've lost another patriot. :(:(:(:(:(:(

Kent Snyder's legacy

Ron Paul: (from RP's post on CFL)

“It was Kent, more than anyone else, who urged me to run again for president last year. I was skeptical, but he was much more confident that the time was right. Without Kent, I don’t think it would have happened.”

This in my opinion will be Kent Snyder’s legacy. He is the one that convinced Ron to run for president and so in a very literal sense he is the man behind the scenes that started the r3VOLution!

History and your fellow patriots will remember you for this Kent Snyder! Thank you for a job very well done!

Love and peace!

P.S. As far as doing something to honor Kent's memory/legacy I think somebody needs to come up with something appropriate that acknowledge's his role in getting RP to run and so starting the r3VOLution!

what about changing the campaign for liberty..into

What about in honor of the man that started the revolution and got ron to run...to see if Ron would change the campaign for liberty to be a kent snyder foundation for liberty...?:)

This is very sad news. Kent will be remembered as a man that helped start a great freedom movement.

3 months?

Mr. Snyder's passing confirms rumors about his health mentioned a few weeks ago on the Jack Blood show, so does not come as a full surprise. Condolences to his friends and loved ones.

He'd been sick for quite a few months now, but I think to keep further stress from hurting the family it was not wanted that we let this out to the general public.

I frankly thought he was improving.

So, work hard my friends, but remember to take time to take care of yourselves too -- with proper sleep and rest and food, etc.
We cannot afford to lose one single patriot.

Shocking. What a tragedy.

I was fortunate enough to meet Kent in the airport after the NH primary. It was the day after the primary and I was pooped. While waiting for my flight, I was seated on the floor with my laptop catching up on a week's worth of missed news. Every so often I would look up to see what was going on. I saw Rand Paul walk by. I saw Lew Moore walk by. I saw Kent Snyder walk by. I'm sure they were pretty beat at the time and I didn't want to bother them. I was pooped myself. About a half hour before boarding, I went in search for food. The best I could find was a McDonald's nearby. While inside eating my poison food, Kent Snyder stopped by to look at the menu. He decided against dining there and instead went over to the news stand next door. I had just finished eating and had some time to kill, so I went over to the news stand to talk to him.

He was extremely personable and friendly. We chatted about various things. I don't recall everything that was said verbatim. But I do recall one particular exchange. I had told him how disappointed I was with the NH primary results. He shared the disappointment, but told me not to give up and to keep the message alive in the same way that Paul had for the past 30+ years and the way that Paul would continue to do so in and beyond this election. These were extremely motivating words that I would carry with me for the PA primary many months later.

Our conversation was about to end when I recalled the (undocumented) quote by McCain about Ron Paul. I asked him if the quote was true and he verified that it was. In fact, he did document the quote in his thesis, which was about Dr. Paul's congressional voting record (still can't find an electronic copy of his thesis).

Anyway, I didn't really know him well, but he will be missed. I salute Kent Snyder for being a driving force behind Paul's candidacy, which has awoken me from a slumber of political ignorance and apathy.

/salute
