I am sorry to bring sad news to you all.

Kent Snyder, who started off the Ron Paul campaign exploratory committee here with me in Pembroke NH on February 24th of 2007, has died of complications of pneumonia.

At that time Ron met with 300 people I invited to a house party held at the home of a Kevin Roll, who generously allowed us to invade his space. We raised about $25,000 thus encouraging Ron to run for office. Kent and Ron were accompanied only by Bill Dumas, Ron's videographer.

I remember how excited we both were when the guest list kept filling up! Ron stayed an extra 2 hours talking to people. You can see the photos on FLICKR, that is where the famous Ron with baby photo came from, the very first one.

Thus the Revolution was born.

Kent you will be missed.

It was not widely known that Kent had taken ill... I hoped and prayed for the best.

Can we get a second confirmation on this? I was aware he was having severe complications with pneumonia, but let's be double sure.

So very sad if true :(

I checked the link and fully feel it is true. Thank you, Kent Snyder and God bless you and your family.

Sadly, it looks legit. Legit enough to make my eyes mist all up. Bummer of a day now. Did Kent have a wife and children?

This comes as a shock to me.

My heart goes out to his friends and family.

Well - Mr. Snyder may have just changed the course of American politics, and perhaps even America itself. He is one of many outstanding individuals whose decisions, resolve, and perseverance have taken us in a new direction and started an entire movement. His service to his country in this manner must not be overlooked.

This is very sad news. Thank you for the post.

(moving to GC).

Does anyone know if he had a wife and kids? If any of his friends start a memorium someone definitely let us know so we can let board membership know.

"No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main. If a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as well as if a manor of thy friend's or of thine own were: any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind, and therefore never send to know for whom the bells tolls; it tolls for thee."

This is horrible news. I worked with him a couple times on the campaign. He was such a nice guy.
RIP Kent. You will go down in history as a Patriot.

So sorry to hear this....R.I.P Kent

How about a chip-in for Kent like we did for Danielle?
