Hello Folks,

I just want to tell everyone that we need to keep our expectations low... I mean VERY LOW. Otherwise, there is going to be a lot of disappointment and anger and frustration.

How do you think Dr. Paul survived 20 years in congress by standing on the floor by himself and voting no. He had almost no expectations. He said it himself in an interview with the Houston Chronicle when he was asked about this. He didn't expect anything to come of his votes so he was able to carry on.

Ron Paul has changed the nation already and we will make an impact eventually, but tommorrow may not be the time or the place. We just need to keep fighting on... thats what Ron Paul did.

Yes, everyone read this.

In fact don't have any expectations. I know uncertainty is the worst thing for human beings but it helps in the end if he does do well.

I agree, it is always better to stay down to earth. :D

Hogwash! So what. Let yourself hope. If there is a letdown so be it. We shall pull ourselves up by the bootstraps and march on.

Keep hopes high, expectations low (unless you're talking to someone from Iowa)

Yes, I am very concerned that too many here are setting themselves up for disappointed. Lets be delighted by how well we do tomorrow, not sad because our expectations were too high.

We take what we can get tomorrow-- it is time for Iowa ron paul supporters to PROVE to the rest of the grassroots community whether all of this talk and planning has been worth it. Don't let us down :) No pressure or anything :)

If Paul finishes low (we can debate what that means), it doesn't matter what our expectations were, because the media will stick a fork in us and ignore us, even if we're somehow one of only two left standing at some point. Without momentum or media attention, it'll be hard for us to do much better elsewhere in the country.

If I stay optimistic, I can at least savor the possibility before it's possibly shot down. I'm not saying to expect a landslide, but don't force yourself into a funk. Enjoy entertaining the possibilities if you want, at least a little bit. Many people here have earned that much.

This is so important or the revolution can lose steam. This what Sean Insanity is hoping for, we can't let it happen. Does someone remember JFK's campaign and how he came in low in the first caucus states.
