Kasich Writes In John McCain For President

By Solange Reyner
31 Oct 2016

John Kasich stood by his word that he wouldn't vote for Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

The Ohio governor instead wrote in Sen. John McCain on his absentee ballot Monday, news first reported by Cleveland.com. Kasich has been at odds with Trump since the summer. He didn't attend the GOP convention and said three weeks ago that he would not vote for Trump following the release of lewd comments he made in 2005.

Kasich called Trump's comments disgusting and damaging to the Republican party.

"This is not just a matter of what has happened within the last 24 hours. This is a matter of what's happened over the course of frankly the last two years," said Kasich, the former rival for the Republican nomination and at one point in the running for the vice presidential nominee.

What "word" ? I guess I musta missed it - a post-debate flip-flop ?

Kasich was just like Eduardo Cruz when the question came up to support the GOP nominee in an early debate.
Kasich like Cruz is just another political liar we are all sick of.

Trump was the only one with the huevos to say in effect it ain't that simple to the "raise your hand" question -
both Kasich and Cruz are liars that need the DC status quo for their own political survival.

I'm not very good at navigating the complexities of this whole voting thing.

Maybe an expert can help me out here.

I can't figure out how Kasich's vote is going to impact the election ...

Is a vote for John McCain a vote for Hillary Clinton - or is it a vote for Donald Trump?

It's a vote against Kasich next time he runs for reelection.

Why not cut out the middle-man and vote for Bill Kristol? Kasich signed a pledge to support the eventual GOP nominee. He threw it away like toilet paper.

Remember when they smeared Ron Paul like that? "You are really a Libertarian. You must swear an oath you won't run as a Libertarian!" Ironic how the establishment requires oaths and pledges, but they throw their promises out the window at will. Some animals are more equal than others.

Of all the people you could write in, you choose someone who's basically an older, slightly less masculine version of Hillary Clinton?
