Kasich Out

. . . that was part of the deal with Cruz for a couple states comin' up now - he got jipped for his try going solo

The whole thing with Cruz in Indiana was to get cover and hope he could get enough of a bump in campaign resources from a Trump loss to campaign in OR.

Or the RNC called and told him his local fixers in Cleveland were out of a job.

But Kasich said yesterday that he wouldn't drop out and even made a commercial about being the last one standing. I'd expect him to at least stay in for another week.

It's gonna take a hell of a money bomb to invent a time machine go back two years and unsay all the things he said to disenfranchise those independent voters.

Why invent a time machine when you can steal one? It worked for Trump and he was able to unsay all the things he says.

From what I gather, events within a campaign seem to unfold much faster to them than they do to us on the outside. Rand left Iowa after telling his staff "on to NH", and made the decision on the plane ride back. Cruz made the decision around the time they were calling IN for Trump; Carly was on stage giving a speech while the Cruz people dropped it to the press. Kasich himself wasn't even on the same page as his campaign staffers. He backtracked on the Cruz deal faster than a Trump abortion position.

Who?

If the LP nominates a nobody they will lose their golden opportunity. Johnson was a successful governor, nobody else in the LP has credentials like him.

Maybe Stephen Colbert shamed him into dropping out. With this:

Was he a governor? He he ever even held political office?

Johnson is the rational choice for the LP, but they will probably blow it like usual.

Was Trump a Governor? Has he ever held political office? This election cycle being a politician isn't necessarily a bonus. And as I have pointed out Gary has been run before. He just doesn't get any traction and I don't think he presents himself well in debates. That is just a personal belief though. Yours apparently differs.

Gary ran on weed in 2012 when he could have done so much more.

Hillary got elected the second Trump announced. Even if he hadn't won the nomination, he ruined the GOP this cycle.

The GOP needed to be "ruined" -- and it needs to be remade. I'm for forging a new and better path.
