Kaput!?

Is it me, or is it that all the Ron Paul supporters have vanished?

I mean here was a guy who at the mention of the word "money bomb" would raise mad money overnight, and now, its kaput...

In New Jersey things are starting to jell up again, as they get ready for round 2. As I eluded to before, the meetups in our state have just begun, the front lines are clearly drawn, and our trenches dug. But admittedly, it doesn't look all to good across the rest of the country, especially in states where the primaries have come and gone already...

Are we alone standing picket?

We have some serious money bombs coming up for Murray Sabrin, Jim Forsythe, and Brent Sanders. Are these going to be million dollar days for each, or just a fizzle of days gone by?

Of course theres also the defense of the district, but I ask, have we run out of steam? I'm starting think that as fast as this movement came, is going to be as fast as it leaves.

Why? Well besides the 10 emails through myspace a day, not to mention all the emails in my gmail, and then the activity of the meetups all across the country, it has all puttered down now pretty quiet.

I don't understand, are there that many summer soldiers in our camp that have now left, or fled to the enemy (rumor has it round here some Paul supporters going to Obama's camp cause "he can win")

Is it just a case that we're all broke (both financially and spiritually)?

What gives? Not to knock anyone, but it seems the same 50 people posting everyday now here, and most of the others have gone.

Irregardless if you think Ron Paul can still win or not, here's a point to ponder:

This is still a movement. Ron Paul's campaign, regardless if he can win or not, is not the only course of action we have. We still have many other candidates running.

So assuming the worst, that you think Ron Paul is finished presidentially, our movement is not over yet. We still have liberty candidates which need YOUR HELP TODAY!..

And it doesn't end there. The meetups should be looking into getting their own people elected locally in some small precinct elected position (in New Jersey, its called County Committee) and then there is next year, and the year afterwards, and so on and so on.

Quitting now just because we got a kick to the nuts doesn't say much about our effort, and only reinforces the belief that the media has had all along "that we weren't worth wasting time on".

Also would be the time for the RLC to start getting better organized and be ready for a recent influx into their organization as well as seeing the Liberty Forest project through to completion...

To put it simply, quitting now is admission of defeat. And to be defeated by the very things we abhor is totally unacceptable to me.

Is not your freedom and liberty worth fighting for?

We've been pretty demoralized, but once we realize the true horrors of a Clinton/McCain/Obama presidency, I think we'll get back into groove.

Still here boss. Here 'till the end. So are the majority of the rest of us. It's the disheartened people posting "kaput?" messages that give you that impression.

our primaries are over, so we are busy taking over our local GOP.

the guy you mentioned that would raise mad money over night is in the process of starting his own Media Corporation so we can have an alternative to the MSM.

like you mentioned, we also have people running for congress.

people are NOT down.

THE REVOLUTION IS EVOLVING

Tom,

Hopefully, if the RLC can get its act together, we wouldn't necessarily have to do this online, it could be done more locally...

As for the meet-ups getting their members voted to county committee (or whatever they call the precinct level elected position in your state) they can do it through their group on their own, or perhaps through an email chain or something.

Fact is however, the internet has made this possible, it is the Paul Revere of our time. Without it, it could never have been as successful as it already has.

But I digress, it seems that everything has fallen very quiet as of late, and waiting to see if its going to be a McCain/Clinton race before getting active again is a horrible mistake.

You never give the enemy a chance to come at you, this puts you on the defense. You need to be advancing constantly.

Like War, Politics is all about attrition and maneuver. Wait for any period of time, and your dead, its that simple.

I've been having a huge problem getting people from my meetup group to help me do anything. I got an email list of the people who showed up to the last two meetings (some facebook people too) and I send requests for help to but up bumper stickers, canvass, call into talk shows, about the money bombs ect.

Virtually no replies at all.

Makes me wonder how many people just like talking about it but are not willing to actually do anything.

Well I went to my first County Republican Party meeting last night, maybe I'll have better luck there.

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, where exactly have you been?

Money bombs were only successful because they had momentum, hype, etc. All these other bombs are taking place when we're broke, it just requires momentum and hype and it'll get done. That's not hopeless optimism either, that's realism. The meet-up groups have been growing exponentially.

I suggest you check out the link in my signature to see exactly where we stand project-wise. We got nearly 60,000 individual donors on the day of the Tea Party, after a little over thirty days of momentum. Most supporters have accepted that the money bombs won't work because a new one is popping up every other Sunday. The newest project, just launched this afternoon, is ronpaulmeetupchallenge.com. Now, that's awesomeness, no doubt about it. AND I'm pretty sure that's the best grassroots designed website yet.

People are definitely disappointed with what they thought would be a reasonable result from Super Tuesday, but now I think people are understanding that this whole time it has been more about the message than the man. There's people running for Congress now, running for local office, and there's people realizing that the best way for Paul to continue inspiring younger and older people is to continue funding his campaign. Expectation only leads to disappointment, we need real facts to support our beliefs that the Ron Paul Meet-Up Challenge will work, that the march will be successful, and the new grassroots-funded TV network would work.

Luckily, we can point to the causes of shock and disbelief that we've given ourselves. November 5, the money bomb blew all of our minds. On the Tea Party, our minds were equally if not moreso blown. Remember, that's with momentum. The special ingredient is momentum and now we're beginning to see meet-up groups coordinate for an even larger money bomb (ronpaulmeetupchallenge.com) and to see momentum build for this march between now and whenever Paul sets his date. I'm pretty confident that over one hundred thousand people will be at that march, pretty confident that it'll turn into a march for the message more than the man, and also pretty confident that, with all this time for momentum to build, videos to develop, and people to become excited, we'll be changing the GOP, if not the entire political process, forever.

The revolution will only become larger.

Well I am glad Arizona is alongside us in New Jersey... hehehe, we're doing the same thing. In some counties, there are many vacant county committee seats, so they are easy wins, but in others, we'll have to be running them in elections.

My county that I live in doesn't have any C-C elections this year, but that hasn't stopped us from helping neighboring counties.

The best part is, they still don't believe that we're coming.

Can you simply write in Ron Paul for President? If the meet-ups keep growing quicker and quicker and people actually start talking to more and more people...who needs to win primaries and such?
I'm 'foreign', and don't know the specifics of American voting...but I've been having fun learning!

Still pounding the pavement in Austin, TX. My precinct delegate convention won't hijack itself for the sake of liberty. Someone's gotta do it.

Hmm, I wonder if I'm gonna have an NSA spook sitting in on our convention now because I used the word "hijack". I guess if I see someone sporting an AT&T logo, I'll know who it is.
