Tell her they are the real thing. Whatever, seriously. Your rebuttals can in now way be construed as academic in anyway, they are childish in the extreme.
YOU asked me to provide diamonds cheaper than the price etc. I did exactly that. You said that would be enough to convince you...
Well look at you reneging... typical. Moving the goal posts fallacy.
Sorry, I should've stated that my wife does not place man made diamonds on the same level as naturally made diamonds. My insurer, would probably say the same. It was a good effort. I just did not make it clear that I was talking about natural diamonds. Sorry, again but it's like saying find me a gun for under $30 and you send me a link to a BB gun. Rather than a shotgun or a rifle.
If you want to consider it reneging go right ahead, but we know that's a bit of a stretch.
You have no right to an economic opinion. Pretty much just like a marxist doesn't. Completely ignorant, and you have so far admitted it.
'Check yaself before ya wreck yaself.'![]()
Well, maybe, but why would I belive that you do? Because you've thrown a few book titles at me? Maybe if you were the author of those books and were regarded publicly as a pundit I may listen to what you just said. But, yeah I pretty much feel the same way about you.
You can get off that pedestal anytime you want. I certainly don't believe me not being qualified makes you qualified. Try again buddy.
Present facts.Mere conjecture.
The fundamental principle is; you have an emotional attachment to IP, you think it protects your songs etc. and it's the only way for you to make money. Big fail right there.
Let's say you sign to a recording studio etc. They get the copyright for your songs, OR your voice, like Nancy Cartwright and her Bart Simpson voice. MGM or someone are sueing her / Scientology, because she used the voice to promote Scientology. OR a book publisher owns the copyright on your book as an author; as MANY do.
Years down the track, the company goes bust or it simply refuses to market your material. They don't want to republish your books, so it DIES, it recedes into the ABYSS of non existence. You can't play your own song because you don't own the copyright on it.You can use the voice you created... it's insane.
What about if you have an opening melody or song or whatever, that apparently closely mirrors someone elses, and they sue you...
It's fken idiotic. Get over your emotional reasoning, that you think its in your best interest to support IP. It ain't champ. And the sooner you wake up to that, the better you'll be off.
Well for someone who always says go read book or look at this or that, I sent you a link directly to ASCAP so you could familiarize yourself various ways musicians make money. So that If you need actual help understanding things that at least you may have a clue. However, you still do not.
Fisrt off people sign contracts if they deal with major labels. Now personally I'm a much bigger fan of Indie labels. Friends of mine who have signed to big labels pretty much always regretted it. And you're right there is some crappy stuff that happens to a lot of people. But people who sign are those contracts are FOOLS! They deserve what they get. Your attack here is weak. People who lose their rights choose to.
It still doesn't change the fact of me hearing anything reasonable from you on how I would make money as a musician other than well go and perform. Which means you don't have a clue what you are talking about.
People don't get to these levels without investment and time. You tell me how those two things are protected for the individual, in your system, and I'll walk away.
And if your answer well you go off and tour, well then you will have an enemy on this topic forever.
Here's a few ideas. Music in movies, music on television, music in video games, music on the radio, music on any other form of media, hell lets talk about swag too, how about shirts and underwear

You're just afraid of the competition. Figures.![]()
Competition? Of someone else playing a song I wrote. PFFFFT. Are you smoking crack? Is the air a little thin down under.
You're a jackass.
and here is why.
I fear no one in my profession. There is no such thing as competition in my profession. For christ sake who the hell am I competeing against in the music field?
I do various things with music. One is write and produce songs. If you don't like it you don't want to buy it then I say who CARES!!!
What part of having someone else take the money off a song you wrote don't you understand?
I'm not stopping someone from performing songs, I'm not stopping someone from writing music. I'm stopping people from making money off my efforts without proper considerations. You want to diminish my efforts? Get Lost!
