Just voted. Turnout very low.

Same experience here in North Charleston,,At 12:30 my wife and i went to our poll and we were 15th and 16th voter out of 600 registered active voters in the precinct...It's been raining hard all night and day long.

Oh, and here's a sign I passed on the way back from voting...

New. Best. Post. Ever.

I voted about 2 hours ago, and the place was dead. One lady was just leaving when I got there, other than her my wife and I were the only voters. According to the paper I had to sign, I was voter 152 for the day. It's snowing now, so I can't see it picking up at all.

I learned that it is apparently illegal to wear a Ron Paul shirt into a voting place. One of the workers there made me turn my shirt inside out before I would be allowed to vote.

If turnout is very low, what does it matter if "machines are breaking", you could do it by headcount.

I'm suspecting RP either did better than expected, or some other candidates did worse, because its too early to talk about machine breakdown.

I just hope there are no RP supporters that stay home because of the weather. The notoriously non voting 18-25 range, I wonder just how many of them have voted in the caucasus/primaries so far.

Remember that age group using their Christmas Vacation to pound the pavement for Dr. Paul?

It's only wet outside here - the weather should not have been a factor AT ALL. At least not here in the Upstate.

I am right across the street from a voting place and the most traffic has come in the last few hours. It's now 5:55 - only about an hour left.

LEK

There were only 6 or 7 people in line voting when I went about 1pm. I was number 148 I think. A friend of mine went earlier around 10am and said the line was out the door. Maybe people wanted to get in before the snow came, but in Greenville, the snow was very light. Hopefully our passion will give us a better showing than the uninformed and unmotivated voters. The problems in horry county will hurt mccain and could help us too.

Come on SC, don't show the world you're as stupid as you are fat!

Personally.. Id tell him/her to screw off.. First amendment right. Never let them push you around.. Freedom of expression is guaranteed by the first amendment. Always fight for your rights.

In a rural polling place, my sister told me that only 22 people voted before 4pm. She and my parents voted for Paul. That seems really low too.
