Just now on Blitzer: Santo: "I'll vote for Ron Paul if he's the nominee"

Basically, none of the candidates want to take the blame for pissing Ron off and making him run third-party if he can't secure the nomination.

Except Gingrich.

They are setting RP up and will ask him if he would vote for the others... after they get all the rest minus Newt to say yes. Then they will claim he is not a GOP team player.

I think the candidates saying they will vote for RP if he is the nominee are just fishing for RPs voters support.Nothing more nothing less.

That Fox News chick Andrea on The Five said Newt's answer will anger Paul supporters and that's a bad move because they would have probably been more likely to support Newt over Romney... now they may not. How is this dame qualified to pontificate on politics with ignorance like that? How can anyone who's been paying attention to us not know that 95% of us will not vote for any of the other GOP candidates?

Wolf and the GOP recognize the grassroots fervent supporters of Ron Paul. They respect the phone bankers and the people who stand outside in the cold with signs. The other GOP candidates salivate at the thought of having that kind of support. They probably never will, but they can try to jump on the bandwagon while it's hot.

The paradigm shift is nice. If the other candidates are acknowledging the possibility of a Ron Paul nomination and their support of that thought then major strides have been made.

Don't worry Newt, that psycho Bachmann will back you up

it's funny how personal its gotten between them...shes really going off the deep end trying to win it. They use to speak together at different tea party events and she has always said good things about RP in the past.

Yep. I honestly think they don't know WTF to do about Ron Paul. Nobody saw this surge in popularity coming, and they're all scrambling for a strategy to deal with it now. Same with the media!

Sure, but you know what this means: more average R voters will say the same on the general election matchup polls, which increases Ron's vs. Obama numbers. He's already got the independent vote sewn up for the general -- he just needs the R base.
