Kerry Bentivolio is a Ron Paul, liberty republican, running for Congress in Michigan. He is a teacher, millitary veteran, and has been endorsed by Justin Amash. The establishment is running scared, as he is the only republican on the ballot, in a safe district. We NEED him in congress. I just donated 10 dollars to his campaign, and if a teenager can, YOU can. Will you help get him into congress?

I donated that 10 dollars out of my yard mowing money, surely others can donate? Can we reach 100 for liberty?

(Didn't want to turn on the guilt trip, but I think Bentivolio is worth it.) :D

If I wasn't about to drop a few thousand dollars on moving expenses, I might be able to chip in more than what I've already donated. I'd be on that like white on rice.

Probably won't have the free cash until after the primary is over, but I can definitely donate and will be helping with the ground game for the general.

With just 34 days til the primary. Almost 1k Facebook likes and his tv ad that needs more funding I wonder if the campaign and grassroots should get a moneybomb within a week or two. What do you all think or would it be tough to do?

I think that is a great idea, but if we throw one together, we MUST all get involved early to promote it. Also, the official campaign should try and push it more then just the day before.

Just a heads-up: McCotter has resigned.

This might allow Gov. Snyder to call a special for the primary day. Not sure about Michigan's law on specials and nominees, I'll check it up later.

Yeah I'm wondering if the campaign actually needs to set this up instead of us, say two weeks from today, or something, because we are down to only 32 days before this primary, and that ad they have needs to get out there. My guess is the write-in candidate is either full of it, or she has a blitz coming two weeks before the primary. If the campaign would ask for a moneybomb I think they would get one from us, maybe $20 - 40,000...

Wow, we posted almost at the same time. McCotter must be in alot of trouble or something strange is going on with him. I'm not sure about the law either, but a primary is already set and in place, so I don't think this changes anything.

I'm not anything close to a graphic artist so I'm sure someone can do better than this. I just wanted to make something to help get his page some more "likes" from the people I know on Facebook. Looks like he's at 779 right now.

The only thing, it might permit the governor to appoint someone for the remainder of the term who could run as an 'incumbant', depending on their rules. I hope you are right though.

As far as I understand, he could call a special for August - there's a 30 days deadline - but he won't because primary ballots are already out. Too complicated logistically. So there will a special election in November, simultaneously with the GE, with the winner going right away to DC to serve for the rest of this congress and then staying for the next one.

McCotter was just bored to death in Congress. That's why he ran for president and he had that signatures debacle. He stopped caring.
