Atheists are still a minority, but damn... approaching one in three of everyone who responded to this thread.

FYI to the OP: To include "atheist" in your list is like including "non-stamp collector" in a list of hobbies.

Agnosticism is such a non-position. As an atheist I have the biggest beef with them.

When the stamp collectors are exerting substantial influence on the directional wheel of national issues its entirely relevant to include the non-stamp collectors in the conversation on which way to point the ship.

Seventh-day Adventist... ;)

this is what i grew up as. no offense but the way certain churches within the sda's talk about ellen white, they act like they worship her books as much as the bible.

Live and let live. People are going to have a difference of opinion on the subject. Some just like to stay out of it all together. Not sure why you'd have beef with that.

There is nothing wrong with agnosticism. You don't have to have a firm position on every subject. I'm atheist but my fiance is agnostic; she just doesn't really care one way or the other and I respect that.

Deist. I find the rest of the religious spectrum to be devoid of logic; the one caveat is the many great Christian Philosophers. I somehow never understood the jump from their philosophical logic, to Jesus is God. Makes no sense. Jesus was a great person no doubt, but he was not a God. God is merely the definition of the realm we inhabit. It is from logic we understand that there must have been the proverbial clock maker. No personification, no deification, no revelation, simply reason and logic.

Jewish Atheism (Similar to Secular Judaism, except you do not believe in God.)

Raised strict Catholic, never bought it.

Now i am an omniTheist aka Pantheist.

I also resonate with Hinduism, Taoism, Buddhism, and mystical Judaism.

My background is very similar. Ultimately my path led me to conclude that there just isn't a god at all. I probably would have arrived there sooner had I taken the time to think about it. Having high-speed internet access for the first time in 2006 enabled me to find a lot of previously unknown (to me) authors and speakers who made a lot of sense. Ron Paul was one of them. So were Sam Harris, Richard Dawkins, Dan Dennett, Chris Hitchens and others who can take the credit for finally setting me free from religion.
